Last week we did a series of picture polls on our Facebook page regarding your favorite things at the Magic Kingdom. First we took a look at your favorite Magic Kingdom Mountain, and now we are taking a look at your favorite Magic Kingdom shows!
Like last time, the picture at the top, Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress — is the show that wins based on Facebook likes for the picture, comments, and shares! Overall, Carousel of Progress had 44 Facebook likes and 7 comments in favor of the show, for a grand total of 51 votes!
I think that Carousel of Progress won out because the show reminds us of how life used to be — slower, less hectic; it was just easier to stop and smell the roses! While a lot of people feel like the closing scene needs to revamped and made more modern, I don’t agree with that sentiment. Sure, it’s outdated — but it flows from one generation to the next, and if you upgraded the fourth scene to be more modern, I think it would feel like it was skipping something. What do you all think?

Coming in second place, based on our informal voting — and something of a surprise selection in my opinion — is the Country Bear Jamboree. It didn’t win because of comments; PhilharMagic had more comments in favor of it then Country Bear did — but it had more likes on the photo. This may be a case where the quality of the image helped one candidate over another. Or, perhaps Country Bear Jamboree came in second because it is a Magic Kingdom Opening Day attraction. I’m not sure — what are your theories about it? Please let me know in the comments.

That leaves us with Mickey’s PhilharMagic; our third place entry in our favorite Magic Kingdom Shows informal poll. Whereas Country Bear Jamboree garnered 26 votes, PhilharMagic gathered in 21 votes, so it wasn’t a landslide, that’s for sure! Still, if I had to rank them, I would rank them as Carousel of Progress at 1A, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 1B, and Country Bear Jamboree a distant 3rd. For me, what makes the PhilharMagic special is the scenes from the classic Disney films. That is what I love about Mickey’s PhilharMagic.
Thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate all that you do in reading our posts; please let me know what I can do to help bring you more Disney Magic into your daily life! Thanks, and have a Disney Day!
