About Mike Ellis

Mike has been a Disney fan since his first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1979 when he was 11 years old. Since that first trip, he has seen parks open, lands close, and attractions come and go, but one thing remains the same, his love for Disney is as strong as ever.

His Disney adventures caused him to start My Dreams of Disney because he wanted to document for his family and friends all of the special Disney Memories he has enjoyed with his family, and since that first post in 2010, Mike's hobby has become his passion!

Now a Travel Consultant with Pixie Vacations for over nine years, Mike has helped many of his readers plan and have incredible Disney vacations of their own. Check us out on Facebook and Twitter. Wow! This is an awesome contest opportunity! What would be even more awesome is using this on our trip. We leave October 21, 2012. I could use this on snacks or meals, or let my 3 sweeties pick out something special. Pixie Dust and Best Wishes to all entering the contest. °o°

This is my son’s first trip to Disney and our celebration of 12 years of marriage (our honeymoon was in Disney!!) Can’t wait to go back in 33 days!!

Going to Disney in December. Will use this card to attend the Christmas after hours festival. Never able to spend the extra money to go before. Hope I win. Good luck everybody.

  4. Stephanie Drennan

We experienced Disney last October for the first time and can’t wait to get back! My family will be tent camping this Christmas at Disney world. The giftcard would be AMAZING to have with us on our trip. I would use it to either take my little family to a yummy resturant during our stay, fo let my little disney crazed princess pick out a surprise at Downtown Disney or to take her to Bibbity Boopity Boutique! All would add alot to our trip!

  5. Nina

I will be going to my favorite place on earth and taking my grandchildren, what’s better than that! The $100. Would be an awesome addition!

I would use this to treat my family to lunch at Epcot at the Mexican pavilion!! Have always wanted to eat there.

  7. Jennifer B.

I’d most likely save this until our next Disney trip and use it at The Pirate’s League; our kids have really taken a liking to that place, and it’s so much fun!

We would add this to our fund. I am a stay at home mom to a 2 year old disney LOVER and we are scrimping and saving as much as we can to make our May 2013 trip happen!

  9. birdsongmanor – I wear many hats. Daughter, mom, sister, wife, mother, student, teacher, mentor, friend, performer, writer, storytelling, memory maker, and on it goes. I hope you enjoy my little tales and the snippets of my journey that I share.

I would totally buy this amazing Italian mask I love in Epcot….or take the family to eat at Tony’s Italian restaurant in the Magic Kingdom… or Casey’s or Liberty Tree (and visit Raymond the most wonderful waiter). Oh gosh so many choices.

  10. Mandy

We are taking my boyfriends daughter and her bestfriend to Disney in a few months – would love to be able to spend this money to make the trip extra magical for a little girls first trip to Disney

I would save my $100 gift card for our next trip… hopefully sooner than later! :)

  12. Tia

A $100 gift card would be the first half of our deposit for the next trip. Which I’d love to be in 2013, but might have to be 2014. An extra $100 would go a long way to helping the 2013 though!!

  13. rufusramblings – I live in North Alabama with my husband, Chris, and Boston Terrier, Wilson. I am the Editorial Assistant of Stitch Craft Create and Sew Beautiful magazines. During my free time, I can be found trying a new recipe, surfing Pinterest for my next craft project, blogging about the randomness in my head, reading anything I can get my hands on, exploring the great outdoors with my two fellas, or dreaming of the next place to get stamped on my passport. In short, I'm your typical open-minded gal, just trying to find my way in this world and leave it a bit better than I found it.

I am going to the World in November and I would use the gc to help pay for the “surprise” cruise I have planned for them :)

    noelskitchen

We are suprising the kids this Christmas with a Disneyland New Years trip. We’re so excited it’s hard to contain ourselves and not give it away. We’ve been budgeting all year for this. We love to win a gift card to use on our holiday trip.

  15. Lisa Roberts Eaton

I would put toward our upcoming trip to Disney over the holidays. We can’t wait to see the Christmas decorations and take our little one to see the Disney Junior Characters he loves so much!

  16. Marissa Smith

We are planning our second trip for next summer. If I had a $100 gift card, I would take my daughter to the princess breakfast at Cinderella’s castle. We didn’t do it last year since I thought she was too young, but all she talks about are the princesses she met and those that she didn’t.

  17. disneyprincess4life

I would spend half at the Disney Store in Canada for a T-shirt for myself and a Nemo plush doll for my sister and then spend the other half at Disney World in March on kitchen accents and home decor for my apartment.

  18. Amber H.

Right after I quit my job to be a stay at home mom, my brother decided to get married in Orlando in March and have my son as the ring bearer, so I’d probably use that towards the price of Disney tickets since I’ll be down there anyway :)

  19. Victoria

I’m crossing my fingers that I’m lucky enough to be the winner! We’re going on a “mommy and me” trip in December — we’re so excited!

  20. Melissa Aivaliklis

I would LOVE to win this! I am a Christmas fanatic and Disney fanatic… put them together and you have one deliriously happy lady haha! I’ve always wanted to see DisneyWorld at Christmas time… last year was soooo hard on my little family. We need a fun vacation together now that we’re on the mend. And I’m turning 40 in January. So THIS DECEMBER, I get to cross #2 off my bucket list and the three of us get to go see DisneyWorld in mid December. I am ecstatic!!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have some spending money to shop with…. fingers crossed!!!

  21. Melissa

I would use this for our tentative trip to Disney LAND next year. It would be our first time as a family there after quite a few DW trips.

  22. sixsiglers – Indiana – My husband and I have been married for 13 years. We have 4 crazy boys & 4 crazy dogs! We enjoy (most of the time!) working together at our small dog grooming business in central Indiana.
    deedee

    We could definitely use it!

  23. thelifeofthemcmastersfamily – Charlotte, NC – I am a SAHM and love it! Yes days can be challenging and there are many headaches, but I love being able to be my boys 24/7 Mommy.
    Jessica McMasters

Our family is heading to Disney for a day in Decemeber and I would save it until then!

  24. Kim Wyatt McAnnally

I know what I would do with that card! We are going to WDW in November to celebrate our 22 anniversary, our DD getting married and moving in with her new DH and my 43rd birthday! My birthday is October 8, the day the raffle ends, so it would be perfect to win the card to take on our trip! I’d use it for some awesome souvenirs!

  25. hsmamato2

With 100.00 dollars, I would use that to send my boys on an adventure at Sammy Duvall watersports on Bay Lake! They’ve always wanted to try parasailing!

  26. Nadine Myrdycz

If I won a $100 Disney gift card, I would use it to purchase our tickets to WDW on our trip to Florida in a couple of weeks. My Husband and Mother have never been!

  27. Lisa Hinton

I would put this towards a trip my husband and I are planning for next Fall in order to take my parents for their very first visit! I’m graduating college in May, and with living expenses so high in Massachusetts, it sure would help us out :)

  28. RM @ LMMP Photography – All 5'2 of energetic, quirky, and fun photography! Unique & Custom boutique photography for modern Families & Brides
    Raven

I would buy more pins for my son to trade on his first visit to Disney!!

  29. disneymomlynn
    lynnsc08

I would spend my $100 Disney gift card on our trip at the end of the month!! We finally have a little princess so I’m sure I’ll find lots of things she needs :)

  30. Tara Edwards

We’re doing my family’s 1st trip to WDW at the end of this month. We dot plan on going again so this would be amazing for us. Our trip and food are paid for but a gift card would help us buy souvenirs which I already stated to my husband are off limits due to lack of funds. Oh did i mention my kids have no clue we’re going?

  31. Erika Mullins

My husband and I are taking are two girls to Walt Disney World for their first time ever in a few weeks and this would be great to take along for souvenirs, extra fun, etc!
    Thanks!

    deedee

i would either use it for christmas, or our next disney trip!

  34. Lisa Eccleston Cox

What a great opportunity! Thanks! I know just where my $100 would go! My cousin and I are planning a trip for her 35th birthday in February. I’d use the $$ to surprise her with the Keys to the Kingdom tour. Best. Gift. Ever.

  35. Liz

I would love to win :) right now we have a disney fund started for our WDW trip in 2015 but we are also going to Disneyland in 2013 for our honeymoon :)

  36. memyselfandthevoices – Who am I? Or who are we? I just finished a Philosophy class so this might be a dangerous question for me to answer at this point in time. But, the basics of me are: I am a wife to U.S. Navy Sailor (A Chief to be exact), the mommy to a miracle baby who is now 4 years old, I am a U.S. Navy veteran, full time college student (for the next few years anyway), and a person that definately dances to the beat of her own drum. (The drum is played by the people in my head- All of whom you will meet at some point in time if you stick with me)
    Tonia T

I would save it as half of my deposit for my next vacation :)

  37. disneydevotion – I am all about family, fun, and everything DISNEY!! While I have been to Disney multiple times as a child, I am now embarking on a new adventure to help introduce Disney to a new generation! Let the adventure begin!
    Beth

Going to WDW soon and would use the money give my nephews a room party to make this once in a life time trip extra special!!

  38. John Quebedeaux

We are going for Xmas for the first time. We’ve told our twin boys that not to expect Xmas gifts because this is (the trip) the gift. A gift card would go a long way towards having a mickey gift for them from Santa!

  39. Lori Beth W.

I would use it for my 25th birthday trip coming up!! We are going to the Food and Wine Festival as well as the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!!! I am so excited!!!

  40. Amanda

I would LOVE to win this! We just got back from our latest trip, and it would be great to use it to keep the magic going even at home! :)
