Welcome back to another Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia post, co hosted with my friends Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jenn from Disney Babies Blog! We’ve got two tidbits of Disney Trivia this week from the great website “This Day in Disney History” for you today!
Did you know on December 11, 1992…
Walt Disney Pictures releases The Muppet Christmas Carol – the fourth feature film to star The Muppets, the first distributed by Disney, and the first produced after the death of Muppets creator Jim Henson. The film is directed by Jim Henson’s son Brian and stars Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge.
Also, on December 10, 1932…
Disney’s Silly Symphony cartoon Santa’s Workshop, directed by Wilfred Jackson, is released.
If you are like me, and you just love watching the old Disney shorts, then you know I had to find a copy of Santa’s Workshop on YouTube to share, so here you go! Enjoy!
This concludes our Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia for this week! Stop by next week for another great bit of Disney Trivia! Do you have any Disney Trivia to share with us? If so, write it up on your blog and share it using the sharing link below, and thanks!
{Don’t forget to enter to win our $150 Disney Gift Card! The contest runs from December 10, 2012 – December 18, 2012. Good luck!}
Very interesting! I love those old Silly Symphonies! Thanks for co-hosting Tiggerific Tuesday!
I do too, Jodi! Thanks!
Very cool!
Mike, I cannot believe Jim is gone 20 years. My 21 year old finally bought our own copy of The Muppet Christmas Carol for movie night- it’s a family favorite!
Great tidbits Mike, love learning new Disney fun facts
I know, Didi, I can’t believe Jim Henson has been gone that long either!
We had a family movie night this weekend and The Muppet Christmas Carol is what we watched – a family favorite!
It’s one of my favorites, too, Beth!
