With the Super Bowl being played yesterday, I thought that the most appropriate Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia should be some trivia related to the Super Bowl MVP ad that is recorded after the game is over. Thank you for joining us on Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia! I’m joined by my friends Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, and Heidi from Heidi’s Head!
Do you know when the Super Bowl ad campaign featuring the MVP of the Super Bowl first started appearing, and who was the first person to say that on the field?
Well, if you don’t know, it was 1987, following Super Bowl XXI, and the person who won the MVP award and uttered that famous line “I’m going to Disney World!” was none other than Phil Simms of the New York Giants. His team beat the Buffalo Bills in that game, which, coincidentally, included the famous (or infamous) wide-right kick by the Buffalo kicker that would have won it for them — and also led to four straight losses for the Bills.
So there you have it, my friends! Phil Simms, in Super Bowl XXI, with the trophy! Sounds like the end result for a game of Clue! Now, please check out the rest of the entries this week, and if you have a blog and some Disney trivia, please feel free to share it with us and join in the fun!
