Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – WDW Trivia Book

TTT

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia segment!  I’m joined as always by my great friends Heidi from Heidi’s Head, Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse!  Today I’ve got a “Did You Know” segment from the WDW Trivia Book, Volume 2, by Lou Mongello!  So, let’s get right into the meat of our post!  Please tell me what you think of this!

Did You Know…

In the construction of the newest Disney Park at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, 60 dump trucks full of dirt were delivered to the DAK construction site every day for two straight years to create the Park’s landscape!  That’s about 4.4 million cubic yards of dirt!

I don’t know about your yard, but I could have used just 1 dump truck full of dirt — or maybe even less than that — for my yard!  What about you?

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoying my trivia tidbit!  If you have a blog, I invite you to write up a trivia post and submit it for us to enjoy as well!  Now, please take a look at the rest of the entries by clicking on the images below, and thanks for reading!  Go out and make it a Disney Day!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – Rivers of America

TTT

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia post! Thank you for joining Heidi from Heidi’s Head, Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse and myself for some great Disney trivia! Today we are taking a look at the Rivers of America at Disneyland! I hope you enjoy today’s trivia!

Rivers of America 2003

Disneyland’s 6-million gallon Rivers of America is drained, putting a stop to the boat cruises and cutting off access to Tom Sawyer Island. Although a 2,000-foot long, 8-foot tall blue fence surrounds the dried up area, park guests still peek through cracks to view the boats’ underwater tracks. To entertain guests until the Rivers of America are refilled, Disney employees dressed as Tom Sawyer and Becky Thatcher re-enact the fence-painting scene from Mark Twain’s classic novel “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.”

I hope you have enjoyed this weeks look back to 2003! Until next time, make it a Disney day! Do you have a blog and would like to contribute to our collection? If so, we would love to have you join up! Just create a post and publish it, copy your post link, and submit it to the list you see at the bottom! It’s really quite simple. Now, go and check out the other great entries this week!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – Maelstrom

Today's #DisneyTrivia is about Maelstrom -- good luck with our trivia question!

Today’s #DisneyTrivia is about Maelstrom — good luck with our trivia question!

Hello everyone, and welcome to our Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia segment for this week!  Christmas is certainly coming on strong, isn’t it?  I hope everyone is ready and able to enjoy the holiday season, and that you are able to spend some good, quality time with your family.

I am pleased to be joined by my friends Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse for this week (truly, they take pity on me each week and let me join in…)

This week’s trivia is about Maelstrom, but I don’t think it will be all that difficult for you hard core fans.  Let’s see if you can get this trivia question:

In the Maelstrom in EPCOT there is a troll that tells you to disappear. How many heads does this troll have?

A) 1

B) 6

C) 3

D) 2

Read along, and you’ll get the answer at the bottom of the post.

Did you know that you can join in on our trivia segments each week?  We’ve got this thing, called a “linky” — don’t ask me where the term comes from because I don’t know — and if you have a blog, you can write your own post, publish it, and then add your information into the linky so that we can all see it.  What do you think?  Care to give it a try?  Go for it!

In the meantime, please click on the links of the other entries and read what great trivia they have for you this week!  Now, about that answer.  Of course you all know this — the troll has 3 heads.  Thanks for playing along!

#DisneyTrivia: Welcome to Disney, Mr. Davis!

Marc Davis

Hello everyone, and welcome to Tiggerific Tuesday #DisneyTrivia segment, the weekly trivia segment that I host along with my good friends Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, Jen from Disney Babies Blog, and Heidi from Heidi’s Head!  Even though today is not Tuesday, it’s Monday evening, we like to get a good start on our trivia for the week, so I hope you’ll forgive the faux paux!

Today is a very important day if you are a Disney History buff like I am!  Today, as you can see from the image, is the 78th anniversary of the hiring of Marc Davis!  Mr. Davis, as you may recall from my Disney Legends post about him, is one of Walt’s Nine Old Men, and was noted for such incredible attractions as Pirates of the Caribbean, among others!  I think it is safe to say that today was a very big day, not only in the life of Marc Davis, but also in the life of all of us that love to visit Disney parks around the world!  Here is the official text, as seen on This Day in Disney History:

December 2, 1935: Marc Davis begins working as an apprentice animator at the Walt Disney Studios. He is immediately thrown into 2 weeks of intense drawing classes – taught by the studio’s resident instructor Donald Graham. Davis will go on to become one of Walt’s “Nine Old Men” and create such memorable Disney characters as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Tinker Bell and Cruella de Vil! He will later become one of Walt’s original Imagineers and ultimately a Disney Legend.

Thank you for taking a trip down Disney history Lane with me, please go check out what Heidi, Jen, and Jodi have for us as well, and please add your own trivia posts into our list!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – The Sherman Brothers

Sherman Brothers Window

Image ©Disney Parks

By Mike Ellis.  Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of the Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia!  If you are new here, we like to get a little jump on Tuesday, so we post our trivia a little bit early! As always, special thanks goes out to my friends Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse!  Today I’ve got what I think is a great trivia piece!  I got the information from the incredible book Disney Trivia from the Vault, written by Mr. Dave Smith.

Did you know…

That, on March 11, 2010, the Sherman Brothers were honored with their own Disney window?  It is located on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland Park, and features the following details:

Two Brothers Tunemakers

Richard M. Sherman and Robert  B. Sherman, Proprietors

“We’ll write your tunes for a song!”

As you can see from the image above, it has some really cool details, and fits the brothers to a Tee in my opinion!
Thank you for stopping by today.  Now, please go check out the other entries below, and at the bottom of this post, make sure you come back to get your entries put in for our Disney Gift Card Giveaway that we’re having!  You could win a $500 Disney Gift Card, or one of 2 $250 Disney Gift Cards!  Thanks, and good luck!
