18 Days: Finding Nemo – The Musical

Finding Nemo

Finding Nemo – The Musical is our choice for #Day18 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!

Welcome to #Day18 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!  Today we are taking a look at one of the best shows on any Disney property — Finding Nemo – The Musical!  This is a family favorite, it’s a great blend of characters from the movie, skillfully maneuvered by the extremely talented Cast Members on the cast, and it does a great job of keeping true to the movie.  During the show you’ll meet Marlin and Nemo and Dory and Bruce and Dude Crush and Squirt and Mr. Ray and all of your other favorites!

Finding Nemo

“Hello, my name is Bruce.” The way he says it is one of my favorite lines in Finding Nemo – The Musical!

In addition to Bruce, you’ll also meet Chum and Anchor as they have their “meeting” with Marlin and Dory.

Dude Crush tells us all about the EAC in Finding Nemo – The Musical!

One of my favorites is Dude Crush and all the other sea turtles.  Dude is so cool, every time I see him I get a smile to my face!

What do you think of Finding Nemo – The Musical?  Like it, skip it, must see it every trip to Animal Kingdom?  One bonus — especially during the summer months — is that the theater is a very cool, relaxing place to watch a show and get out of the extreme Florida heat!  Let me know what you think, please, and thanks for stopping by!

More on The Seas with Nemo and Friends

As we continue our look at The Seas with Nemo & Friends for our Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia segment, let’s take a look at some of the facts and figures regarding the huge aquarium! Before that, though, let’s say hi to my friends Heidi from Heidi’s Head, Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends

  • Did you know that the aquarium inside the pavilion is 5.7 million gallons?!  At the time the pavilion opened it was the largest saltwater tank in the world.  That record has since been eclipsed by the Georgia Aquarium.
  • Did you know that there are approximately 8,500 creatures in the aquarium?
  • Did you know that Turtle Talk with Dude Crush was opened before the actual Seas with Nemo and Friends attraction?
  • Also, did you know that Turtle Talk has been replicated with great success at other Disney Parks, on the Disney Dream and Fantasy cruise ships, and even at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County?  This is the first instance of a Disney Attraction being placed in any non-Disney location!

The facts go on and on, but I think I’ll stop here for the night.  Do you have a favorite fact that I missed?  If so, please let me know in the comments section, and thanks for stopping by!

The Seas with Nemo and Friends – #Day62 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown

Hello everyone, and welcome to #Day62 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!  This day we are taking a look at one of the pavilions of Epcot — The Seas with Nemo and Friends!  This pavilion is, like many of the Future World pavilions, named after the ride that it contains, but it has much more to it than just a ride.

The ride is fun, although my camera shots aren’t really that good — so I don’t have any to share, really.  I’m working on that for next trip.  But I do like some of the things I’ve been able to see and photograph of the aquarium, even though they are kind of blurry too, so I hope I’m not turning you off of this pavilion.  It really is a lot of fun in my opinion, and has a lot going for it.

For starters, watch out for Bruce!

Watch out for Bruce! Fish are friends, but what about humans?

Of course, in addition to all of this, the Coral Reef Restaurant is the table service restaurant at this pavilion.  I’ve heard mixed results about it, so we haven’t eaten there before.  Have you eaten there?  If so, what did you think of it?  Please let me know in the comments, and thanks!

Epcot Future World – An Overview

Holding up Spaceship Earth, the iconic structure of Epcot!

Hello everyone, and thank you for stopping by!  Today we are taking a general overview of the different pavilions in the Epcot Future World area.  The different pavilions for Future World are the following:

  • Spaceship Earth
  • Innoventions East
  • Innoventions West
  • Universe of Energy
  • Mission: SPACE
  • Test Track
  • The Seas with Nemo and Friends
  • The Land
  • Imagination!
  • Wonders of Life/Festival Center (seasonal)

I’ve already learned something new today — it turns out that Epcot has slowly gone to the concept of naming the pavilion after the major attraction that is housed there, and as a result, I never new that Spaceship Earth was concidered a pavilion.

Spaceship Earth, of course, is represented by the huge geodesic dome that houses the Spaceship Earth attraction.  I’ll go into more detail about what else you can experience at the pavilion!
