Looking back at this, I realize how special this moment was for Sophie and I.
Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s post for the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop that my friend Deb from Focused on the Magic hosts every week! This week we are focusing on the theme of “Family Favorites”, so please take a look at some of my favorite photos from this summer’s trips to Walt Disney World and Disneyland! I hope you enjoy, have a great day!
This is another shot. We were at Biergarten, and part of the show is to invite people up to dance!
Over at Disneyland, one of our favorite lands was Mickey’s Toontown! It was incredible!
Meeting our friends Jessica and Shaun was a lot of fun, and we rode Grizzly River Rapids together with their friend Dodger!
Mickey and the Magical Map was a great show that included some really good singing by Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, and a whole host of other Princesses and Disney Characters!
This shot shared two family favorites — the World of Color and Mickey’s Fun Wheel!
Bar none, California Screamin’ was our favorite ride in all of Disneyland/California Adventure. It was incredible!
I hope that these pictures filled you with a sense of the fun that we had this summer! Now, please take a look at the other entries over at Deb’s site, and thanks for stopping by! Just click on the button to head over there!
Hello everyone, and thanks for coming to visit today at My Dreams of Disney! Today I have a confession to make — I have a fear of ferris wheels! When I was a kid, I read way too many horror books about the freak in the funhouse who stalked everyone at the carnival, and as a result, I became convinced that the ferris wheel would fall apart right when I made it to the top. If you were to ask my wife and daughter, they would tell you that I would be as far away from the ferris wheel as possible!
This is it! Day 1 in our countdown to Disneyland! Our final post before our trip, and today, we are taking a look at the incredible World of Color! Located over at Paradise Pier in Disney’s California Adventure, the World of Color show is a technological marvel featuring incredible music, stunning graphics, and water! I was lucky enough to be able to watch the premier of the World of Color over the internet when it debuted for celebrities and media back on June 10, 2010.
Seeing it on my laptop or computer screen, like I do now, is nothing compared to watching it live, and I absolutely can’t wait for that to happen! There are two ways that I plan to see it — three, if you ask Sophie. The first way, of course, is by taking it in at the park. To do so, you will need to get a FastPass ticket at the kiosks over by Grizzly River Run.
A second way to view the show is to watch it from the balcony at the Grand Californian. I have done some research, though, and everyone says that the first way to watch the show should be live in the park. After that, I have heard that watching it from the balcony gives a different perspective that is fun to witness.
If you were to ask Sophie, she would say that she wants to watch World of Color from Mickey’s Fun Wheel — but unfortunately, the Fun Wheel is one of the attractions that closes for the show.
If you have not seen the video yet, feel free to check this video out, and enjoy!
Perhaps more then any other attraction, Mickey’s Fun Wheel feels as much like an iconic structure, a Disney Weenie, as Sleeping Beauty Castle is. Whenever I see something on the internet with a view of Disney’s California Adventure, the thing I notice straight off is the “Ferris Wheel” with Mickey proudly displayed on the side. That, my friends, is Mickey’s Fun Wheel.
While my family will be the first to tell you that I am a Ferris Wheel weenie myself — as I stay as far away from them as I can — this is one attraction that I can’t wait to try out! I think this will be an incredible photo taking attraction, that will give me some absolutely incredible shots when we get there in June! I can’t wait — only 96 Days til Disneyland!
