#DisneyTrivia – Disneyland!

Disneyland Construction

Sleeping Beauty Castle — an iconic structure at Disneyland!

Hello everyone, and welcome to our #DisneyTrivia segment for this week!  I’m joined by my special friends Heidi from Heidi’s Head and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse!  Today is a big day in Disneyland lore — as you know, this past Thursday was the 59th birthday of Disneyland.  Well, did you know that on this day in 1954, the construction for Disneyland began?!  Less than one year later, the park was open!  That’s quite a turnaround, wouldn’t you say?

Thank you for stopping by today!  Don’t forget to link on over and check out the entries that Heidi and Jodi have for you — as well as the entries that you all put in as well!  Have a great day everyone, and remember, if you have a blog and want to contribute, just write a Disney trivia post and add your link in!

More facts and figures about Swiss Family Treehouse!

Hello everyone, and thank you for stopping by in our #DisneyTrivia segment tonight!  As you probably know, today in our #DisneyWorldCountdown series we focused on the Swiss Family Treehouse, and since we are doing that on the day we do our Disney Trivia segment, we are including some facts and figures about the attraction as well!  I’m happy to be joined by our founder Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse and Heidi from Heidi’s Head.  Thank you ladies for joining in!

Swiss Family Treehouse Facts and Figures

Here are some things that you may not have known about this attraction:

  • Did you know there are 116 steps total in the attraction?
  • Did you know that the tree is completely man-made, and stands at 90 feet tall and 60 feet wide?
  • Did you know that this is an original Walt Disney World attraction, and opened on October 1st, 1971?
  • Lastly, did you know that there are over 300,000 leaves on the tree, and that they were all put in place by hand?!

Here are some additional photos from the attraction.  I hope you enjoy them!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – WDW Trivia Book

TTT

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia segment!  I’m joined as always by my great friends Heidi from Heidi’s Head, Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse!  Today I’ve got a “Did You Know” segment from the WDW Trivia Book, Volume 2, by Lou Mongello!  So, let’s get right into the meat of our post!  Please tell me what you think of this!

Did You Know…

In the construction of the newest Disney Park at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, 60 dump trucks full of dirt were delivered to the DAK construction site every day for two straight years to create the Park’s landscape!  That’s about 4.4 million cubic yards of dirt!

I don’t know about your yard, but I could have used just 1 dump truck full of dirt — or maybe even less than that — for my yard!  What about you?

Thank you for stopping by today and enjoying my trivia tidbit!  If you have a blog, I invite you to write up a trivia post and submit it for us to enjoy as well!  Now, please take a look at the rest of the entries by clicking on the images below, and thanks for reading!  Go out and make it a Disney Day!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – Maelstrom

Today's #DisneyTrivia is about Maelstrom -- good luck with our trivia question!

Today’s #DisneyTrivia is about Maelstrom — good luck with our trivia question!

Hello everyone, and welcome to our Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia segment for this week!  Christmas is certainly coming on strong, isn’t it?  I hope everyone is ready and able to enjoy the holiday season, and that you are able to spend some good, quality time with your family.

I am pleased to be joined by my friends Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse for this week (truly, they take pity on me each week and let me join in…)

This week’s trivia is about Maelstrom, but I don’t think it will be all that difficult for you hard core fans.  Let’s see if you can get this trivia question:

In the Maelstrom in EPCOT there is a troll that tells you to disappear. How many heads does this troll have?

A) 1

B) 6

C) 3

D) 2

Read along, and you’ll get the answer at the bottom of the post.

Did you know that you can join in on our trivia segments each week?  We’ve got this thing, called a “linky” — don’t ask me where the term comes from because I don’t know — and if you have a blog, you can write your own post, publish it, and then add your information into the linky so that we can all see it.  What do you think?  Care to give it a try?  Go for it!

In the meantime, please click on the links of the other entries and read what great trivia they have for you this week!  Now, about that answer.  Of course you all know this — the troll has 3 heads.  Thanks for playing along!
