Prayers for the Week – Proverbs 27:1-2

Proverbs 27:1-2

{Editor’s Note: Hello my friends, welcome to this week’s Prayers for the Week post!  Starting today, we are sharing things a little differently.  I’ve created a special site, called Prayers for the Week, and that is where we will write our prayer posts on.  However, each week we’ll write an introduction here, and invite you to link over to that post to read it fully.  Please give this a try, and let me know what you think.  It may be that this is a good idea, but it may be that this isn’t, so give it a shot and let me know what you think.  Thanks!}

1Do not boast about tomorrow,
for you do not know what a day may bring.
2Let another praise you, and not your own mouth;
a stranger, and not your own lips. ~ Proverbs 27:1-2 (ESV)

Why do we as a people find it so easy to march to the beat of our own drum?  Why do we insist on telling the world how great we are?  What is it that we absolutely must look after number one?  Why have we forgotten so much about the one who created us?  Over at our Prayers for the Week site, explore with me some of the Biblical reasons for why we are here, and let’s look at how we can change our thinking.  Please click on over and read our post and pray with us!
