What is your favorite Disney Roller Coaster?

Piggy-backing on yesterday’s post on California Screamin’, we’ve got a poll for you today.  Thinking about all of the Disney roller coasters you have experienced in your life, whether it be at the Magic Kingdom, Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure Park, Disneyland Paris, and so on, what is your absolute favorite roller coaster?  There are several to choose from, of course.  You’ve got Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Expedition Everest, California Screamin’, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and the list goes on.  Have a look at our poll, we’ve included several options to choose from, as well as an option to choose your own.

This is an open poll, so it won’t close, and you should be able to choose your own answer if ours doesn’t fit in what you are looking for, so have at it!  Of course, the Disney parks aren’t like the Six Flags and the Carowinds of the world, so chances are there may be roller coasters at other amusement parks you like better — but for us, we want to know which is your favorite Disney roller coaster, so let us know your thoughts, and thanks!

How California Screamin’ can make you sick…

California Screamin’, located over in Paradise Pier at Disney’s California Adventure Park, is, in my opinion, the best roller coaster at any Disney park.  I know that Space Mountain certainly has it’s fans, as does Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, or the Seven Dwarfs Mine Ride, but for me, California Screamin’ has got it all.  This roller coaster is what the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith is based off of, but it is twice as long, outdoors, and offers up some great views of parts of the park.  In the video, you’ll see great moments involving another train that we almost criss-crossed with during our run.

During our trip this past July, Shane and I rode in the very front seats of the coaster, and shot this video with my GoPro.  I apologize in advance for the quality — I am not a videographer at all, and this video proves it!  However, I hope it does give you some insight into how California Screamin’ can make you sick!  If nothing else, the quality of the video may do the trick all on it’s own!

So how can California Screamin’ make you sick?  Well, to be honest, I’m not sure how often people do get sick on this coaster — but I imagine if you were to load up on a bunch of junk food, maybe ride the Tower of Terror several times in a row, and things like that, getting on California Screamin’ may put you over the edge.

So tell me, what did you think of the video?  More importantly, what do you think of California Screamin’?  Have you ridden it before?  Take a moment and let me know in the comments, and thanks for riding along with us!

Expedition Everest

26 Days: Expedition Everest

Expedition Everest

Welcome, my friends, to #Day26 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!  Today we are looking at the roller coaster that was, until we went to California Adventure last year, my wife’s favorite roller coaster — Expedition Everest!  As it stands, EE has been replaced at the #1 spot by California Screamin’, but Expedition Everest is still #2 in Cindy’s book, and that’s pretty high praise!

The Legend of the Yeti…

Expedition Everest

Do you dare to tackle the Yeti?

Rumor has it that this mountain is hiding a terrible secret.  Word is out that there is a Beast (no, not that Beast) lurking among the snow packed mountain tops; that this is not a safe mountain to be on.  Word on the street is that this mountain is home to the Yeti…

For the bravest of the brave, this is a chance to see that Yeti, a chance to face your deepest fears — and a chance to live to tell the story afterwards!  Do you dare?  Are you brave enough — some would say crazy enough — to try and tame that savage beast?

Expedition Everest

Looks like the Yeti has scared some more thrill-seekers!

These people thought that they could tackle the challenge of the Yeti.  They thought that they could brave the challenge, that they could live up to the test…well, some of them are so scared, they have their hands up in the air screaming! :)

With a whimsical look at Expedition Everest, I’m your My Dreams of Disney writer Mike, wishing you a great day full of Disney fun!  Do you ride Expedition Everest, or do you skip it?   Let me know in the comments, please, and thanks for stopping by today!

Maharajah Jungle Trek

79 Days: Maharajah Jungle Trek

Hello everyone, and welcome to #Day79 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!  Today we are taking a look at the Maharajah Jungle Trek, a walking path over in Asia that has some great views of the wildlife.  I’ll admit, this isn’t an attraction that we frequent very often, it’s too close to Kali River Rapids and that tends to draw my attention.  However, I plan on seeing it in June and taking plenty of pictures of my own!  You have the opportunity to see some of these animals when you go on the Jungle Trek:

  • Asian tiger
  • Gibbons
  • Elds deer
  • Blackbuck
  • Rodrigues fruit bat
  • Malayan flying fox
  • Banteng
  • Over 50 species of birds

Do you and your family take a walk on the Jungle Trek, or do you skip on by?  Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by today!
