75 Days: Voices of Liberty

Voices of Liberty

Voices of Liberty – our choice for #Day75 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown.

Hello everyone, and welcome to #Day75 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!  Today we are taking a look at what I believe to be one of the most under-appreciated singing shows in all of Walt Disney World — the incredible harmonic sounds of the Voices of Liberty.

This incredible singing group sings a Capella — that is, singing without any instruments at all.  They are brilliant in their ability to do this, and the songs they sing — songs about the American experience — truly bring a patriotic feeling to the main entrance to the American Adventure show.  The Voices of Liberty have also been seen at Disneyland, but they are primarily to be found at Epcot’s World Showcase in the American Adventure pavilion.

For those of you that may not have seen them — or perhaps more appropriately, heard them — here is a YouTube video I found of their rendition of “Let Freedom Ring” — it’s very well done, and well worth the time to listen to it.  I hope you enjoy it!

In addition, the Voices of Liberty also sing Christmas songs during the Christmas season at Epcot, here is one video of their singing of “Joy to the World”

To close us out this day, here are two more pictures of the Voices of Liberty — including one shot after their performance when one of them took a picture with Sophie. Thank you for stopping by today, and I urge you — if you have not heard the Voices of Liberty before, make time the next time you are at Epcot to listen to them. It is absolutely stunning, and you will not be sorry when you hear them!

Happy Birthday Epcot!

Happy Birthday Epcot! Just like the Magic Kingdom, Epcot opened on October 1st!  Of course, there was 11 years between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot, so last year was the 30th Birthday of Epcot, and that makes this year birthday number 31!  Epcot has so many incredible details that it’s really like going to two theme parks rolled into one!  For starters there is Epcot Future World, which features Spaceship Earth, among other great pavilions.  Then there is Epcot World Showcase, which features 11 pavilions dedicated to different countries around the world.  If you haven’t seen my reviews of them, head over to my “Epcot’s World Showcase” page to read about each of them!

For this special birthday post, I thought I would let my pictures do the talking, and share with you some of the incredible things that await you at Epcot!  Sit back, relax, and enjoy your photographic journey through Epcot — the second park at Walt Disney World!

Mousekejournals — The American Adventure

Today I’m posting over at my friend Jon’s site Mousekejournals!  He is running a series on the countries of Epcot’s World Showcase, and I volunteered to write about The American Adventure!  Head on over and give it a read, and tell me what you think about it.  Thanks everyone!
