Well, my friends, we are at Day 21 in our Countdown to Disneyland, and from here on in, you’ll be reading about some of the the things that are absolutely at the top of my list. Today we are taking a look at the Jungle Cruise, that classic Disney attraction that has, as you well know, “Tours Departing Daily”.
When it comes to corny fun, the Jungle Cruise has it in spades! I know that there is very likely not much difference between the Magic Kingdom and the Disneyland versions of the ride, but I for one can’t wait to experience it for the first time at Disneyland!
With it’s crazy jokes, including the famous backside of water, the Jungle Cruise is one of those attractions that just captivates me each and every time I ride it. What about you? Do you like the Jungle Cruise? Is it something you love, and must ride, or do you skip it by? Let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by!
Today we are taking a look at one of the many parades that you can enjoy when you visit the Disneyland Resort! This is day 24 in our countdown til Disneyland, and the parade that we are going to focus on is the Pixar Play Parade!
The Pixar Play Parade takes place in Disney’s California Adventure park, and it is full of fun Pixar characters from the following great Disney/Pixar movies:
A Bug’s Life
In addition to the characters you will see in this 20 minute procession, the best places for viewing are in Hollywood Land, Pacific Wharf, and Paradise Pier.
Be warned, though — it is possible that you might get squirted with water during the parade!
This parade reminds me of the Pixar Pals Countdown to Fun parade that you can see at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. That doesn’t bother me in the least, because that is a fun parade, and I bet that this one is also! What do you all think? Worth it to see it, or skip it and move along? You tell me in the comments, and thanks!
Wow, are the days flying by! We are down to 31 days til our Disneyland trip! Today, we are looking at an “attraction” that you won’t find me anywhere near! The Mandara Spa!
Since we are looking at all that Disneyland has to offer, the Mandara Spa is one of those things that we need to examine for those of you that are of a mind to experience the spa! Located inside the Grand California Resort & Spa, our home resort, the offerings of the spa are quite elaborate (I think!) and something that many of the readers of My Dreams of Disney would probably really enjoy! Click the link to go to the Mandara Spa site for a list of all of the services that they provide.
Are you going to take in the spa for a well deserved relaxation day? If so, let us know what your favorite treatment will be in the comments below, and thanks!
The Big Thunder Ranch Petting Zoo is located, ironically in my opinion, right next to the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ restaurant! Located in Frontierland, the petting zoo appears to me to be the perfect little place to relax and enjoy some quiet time in between those crazy e-ticket attractions. The Petting Zoo is our choice for day 81 in our Days til Disneyland countdown.
At the zoo you can find cows, goats, pigs, donkeys, and sheep for your youngster to pet. On the Disneyland website, this attraction is listed as being in the “Fun for Little Ones” category, so it certainly isn’t for everyone. However, knowing Disney as we all do, I would be surprised if there wasn’t some great educational value to Big Thunder Ranch!
I think we’ll take a look at it, just to say we did, but I don’t expect that we will spend too much time here — but who knows? It never ceases to amaze me the things that Sophie enjoys — this might be her favorite thing!
Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Easter, everyone! He is Risen! Jesus is Risen, indeed!
Welcome to day 86 in our Days til Disneyland countdown! Today we are looking at our first parade — Mickey’s Soundsational Parade, which you can see on Main Street, U.S.A. at the Disneyland Park. This parade looks like a jumping good time, with music, characters, and floats galore! I think this will be a great parade to see and enjoy when we get to Disneyland!
Everything I’ve read about the parade indicates that it is a lot of fun, but I know that you all know best when it comes to what’s fun and what’s not at Disneyland. So tell me, do you like this parade? Is it worth making time to stop and enjoy it, or should we catch it only if we happen to be in the area and have nothing better to do at that moment. You tell me. Personally, I think this parade, a freshly popped popcorn, and a bottle of Diet Coke sounds like a great idea when we get there in June!
Before I close off, I wanted to remind you of a few things. First of all, don’t forget that we’ve got a contest going right now for a Disney Dooney & Bourke Barrel Bag. The contest runs until April 1st, 2013 at 11:59PM, so make sure you enter every day (there are things you can do each day for bonus entries).
Second, we’ve got our 100 Days til Disneyland page running on the site — if you have missed any of these posts, go back and see them for yourselves! Maybe it will help you in your own Disneyland planning!
And lastly, I wanted to remind you that I am an Authorized Disney Travel Agent with Pixie Vacations, so if you have any travel needs you would like for me to look at, please feel free to send me a request from the form on my Pixie Vacations page. Your privacy is our priority — we will never sell or share your email address with anyone!
Thanks for stopping by, everyone, we’ll see you tomorrow for Day 85 in our 100 Days til Disneyland countdown!
