Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia!  Along with Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, I’m Mike from My Dreams of Disney here to share a special bit of Disney Trivia!

This month the questions all come courtesy of my daughter Sophie, and our resource is the excellent book Disney Trivia from the Vault by Mr. Dave Smith.  If you like our trivia and want to purchase your own copy of the book, you can do so by clicking on the link!  It’s a great read!

Today’s Trivia is written in from Kathy in Wheeling, IL , who asks:

In what movie or short did Jiminy Cricket teach us how to spell “encyclopedia”?

Jiminy Cricket’s Encyclopedia was a separate little cartoon that appeared a number of times on the Mickey Mouse Club television show beginning in 1956.

Now, for a little fun, take a look at the cartoon that Kathy was referring to! It’s a short little ditty, do you remember this from your childhood?

Thank you for stopping by today, but don’t forget to check out the rest of the entries this week! Just click on the links below, and have a Disney Day!

By Mike Ellis.  Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of the Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia!  If you are new here, we like to get a little jump on Tuesday, so we post our trivia a little bit early! As always, special thanks goes out to my friends Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse!  Today I’ve got what I think is a great trivia piece!  I got the information from the incredible book Disney Trivia from the Vault, written by Mr. Dave Smith.

Did you know…

That, on March 11, 2010, the Sherman Brothers were honored with their own Disney window?  It is located on Main Street, U.S.A., in Disneyland Park, and features the following details:

Two Brothers Tunemakers

Richard M. Sherman and Robert  B. Sherman, Proprietors

“We’ll write your tunes for a song!”

As you can see from the image above, it has some really cool details, and fits the brothers to a Tee in my opinion!
Thank you for stopping by today.  Now, please go check out the other entries below, and at the bottom of this post, make sure you come back to get your entries put in for our Disney Gift Card Giveaway that we’re having!  You could win a $500 Disney Gift Card, or one of 2 $250 Disney Gift Cards!  Thanks, and good luck!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – This Day in Disney History!

Wordless Wednesday - Tom Sawyer Island Today, as you all probably know, is April Fools Day!  I won’t even pretend to have the imagination that some of my friends do when it comes to April Fools Jokes, so I didn’t do any sort of spoof post for you.  However, for today’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia, I do have a quote to share with you, from the incredible Mark Twain, that I got from the “This Day in Disney History” site:

“The first of April is the day we remember what we are the other 364 days of the year.”

With that in mind, I thought I would share some of the unusual posts that I have seen around the block today, let’s see if you can guess whether any of them are true or fake!

Is Disney Springs adding Wal-Mart to it’s chain of stores that will be there?

Is the Disney Vacation Club axing the plans for the DVC Resort at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa?

Are High-Adventure Campsites the next in line for DVC?

So, no real trivia this week!  I hope that’s okay with you all, but please, check out the rest of the posts below for some real Disney Trivia, and thanks for stopping by!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – Herbie Rides Again!

Herbie

Herbie the Love Bug

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s edition of Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia, the weekly series that brings you a bit of Disney Trivia for you to enjoy!  Along with my good friends Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, I am Mike from My Dreams of Disney bringing you some unique trivia from the book Disney Trivia from the Vault by Mr. Dave Smith.

Today, K.H. asks a question about the movie Herbie Rides Again.  Here is what they had to say:

Where did Disney film the firehouse that was used in Herbie Rides Again? K.H., Louisville, KY

The firehouse featured in Herbie Rides Again was built on the back lot of the Disney Studios in Burbank, California.  Movie magic did the rest: the street scenes of San Francisco were matted in around the firehouse.

Special thanks to my daughter Sophie for looking these up for me!  Now, check out the rest of the entries below, and enjoy!

Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia – Walt Disney World Resorts!

Contemporary Resort

Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia!  Along with my wonderful co-hosts Jenn from Disney Babies Blog, Heidi from Heidi’s Head, and our fearless leader Jodi from Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, I’m Mike from My Dreams of Disney, here to give you a little tidbit of Disney Trivia!

My daughter Sophie has been really great about looking up the trivia questions for me, so I have given her the opportunity to look up the trivia throughout the month of February also!  Here is what she found out for today:

Katielu from Knoxville, TN writes: “Which Walt Disney World hotel was the first to be built? How many rooms are there? And is Walt Disney World considered the biggest resort in the world?”

Dave Smith answered: “The Contemporary Resort and the Polynesian Resort opened first, in 1971.  Today, there are almost 25,000 rooms in Walt Disney World hotels, making it by far the largest resort in the world.

Today’s trivia, of course, comes to us from Mr. Dave Smith’s excellent book, Disney Trivia from the Vault.  If you are interested in purchasing the book, click on the link to go to his book site on Amazon.com!  Thanks for stopping by, make sure you visit the rest of the sites by clicking on the links below!  Thanks, and make it a Disney Day (or night!)
