Disney Magic is found in seeing Mickey & Minnie riding Dumbo with special guests!
Disney Magic. The stuff of legends, Disney Magic is, quite likely, the biggest reason why so many people come back to Walt Disney World and Disneyland each and every year. It is found in so many different ways, that I thought the best way to share what it means to me is to show you with my photos. I hope you enjoy!
…can be found in the joy of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party…
The joy on Sophie’s face is a site to see!
…is having your picture taken with your cousin and Snow White!
The picture of Snow White was taken on September 30, 2011, the day before the 40th Birthday of Walt Disney World!
…is being first in line to see Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar!
…is the joy of seeing your favorite character, Donald Duck, and dancing with him!
…is telling Princess Jasmine a secret, and being able to chat for 5 minutes with no one waiting to see her.
…is celebrating your 7th birthday with your best friend.
…is seeing your niece proposed to in front of her Castle by her Prince.
Disney Magic is the reason I have this blog, the reason I help families plan trips to Walt Disney World, and the reason why we love going to Walt Disney World and Disneyland so much. For me, no two words have more meaning at Disney than that. What do you think of it? Let me know in the comments, and thanks!
Dumbo the Flying Elephant is our choice for #Day53 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!
Hello everyone, and welcome to #Day53 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown. Today we are taking a look at Dumbo the Flying Elephant, and we’ll discuss the changes that have been made, take a look back at one of my favorite Disney memories, and look at what has become a really cool attraction because of the Fantasyland Expansion!
Before the expansion took place, we almost NEVER rode Dumbo simply because the line was way too long, and the return on that time investment just wasn’t there. We love the Dumbo movie, though, but despite that, the attraction just didn’t do anything for us.
But then the Fantasyland Expansion took place, and we learned that the Dumbo ride was going to move to Storybook Circus, and in addition to being moved, there was going to be a second Dumbo ride (known as Dueling Dumbos), and interactive area to play while you waited for your turn on Dumbo! Before I knew it, I was ready to take a look at the new and improved Dumbo!
Sophie and Cindy get ready for a ride on Dumbo!
As you can see, we all took part in a ride during our last trip to Walt Disney World, and it was everything I hoped it would be and then some! The interactive play area was great for Sophie to play while Cindy and I rested our tired feet for a while, and when it was our turn, the pager that they had assigned us buzzed and we went to claim our turn in line!
One thing that always will endear me to Dumbo, though, was when we were witness to some incredible Disney Magic. This happened in 2010 when we included my niece Stephanie in our plans to go to Disney World, and during Extra Magic Hours, Cindy and I were going to ride the Carousel while Sophie and Stephanie rode Dumbo. Well, while we were in line for the Carousel, we just happened to witness this incredible moment:
Mickey & Minnie ride with two special Guests on Dumbo!
It was such an incredible moment, I don’t think the two children knew that Mickey & Minnie were going to ride with them, and then, when the ride was over, Mickey got off, went back to Minnie’s Dumbo, and proceeded to take her hand and help her off, just like the GentleMouse we all know him to be. It was an incredible moment, one that I’ll not forget anytime soon!
The Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party takes place on Main Street, U.S.A.
Hello everyone, and thank you for stopping by today as we look at our choice for Day 84 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown! Today we are taking a look at the Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It! Street Party, which is held on Main Street, U.S.A.! This fun little parade is full of energy and is guaranteed to get you moving as you dance to the music and wave at your favorite characters!
Parades like this one are fun ways for you and your kids to dive headfirst into the Disney Magic and just have a good old time! I don’t know about you, but when we see a parade like this, it just puts smiles on our faces and really puts us in a good mood — or perhaps I should say an even better mood than we already are!
They have multiple times for this parade, for example, if you are at the Magic Kingdom today, you can see the parade at 11:00AM, 12:30PM, or 5:40PM, so pick a time!
Does your family enjoy this parade, or any parades for that matter? Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by! Now, enjoy a few more photos from the parade!

Our Disney Memories from 2012, here we are at Akershus!
Hello everyone, and welcome to back to our Disney Memories series. For this post, we are taking a look at our Disney Memories 2012, that special trip that we took with Kerry, Neal, River, Izaiah, Monica, Madelyne-Lois, Shane, Kyle, and Stephanie. The buildup for this trip was incredible to me, it felt like it would never get here! For this trip, we stayed at Kidani Village, which is part of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and had a great time! It was the first trip for everyone except us, Stephanie, Shane, and Kyle, and we made sure we did some things that they would remember for the rest of their lives! In the first picture, all of us (except Kyle, Shane and Stephanie, who ate separately from us) were posing with Belle for our picture before dinner at Akershus for Princess Storybook Dining. This excellent restaurant is located in Norway in Epcot’s World Showcase, and is a favorite of mine.
In addition to Akershus, we ate at the Crystal Palace, Via Napolli, Cinderella’s Royal Table, the Garden Grill, and Chef Mickey’s.
Sophie had the Dapper Dan’s play Happy Birthday to her previously, and this time also!
This trip was special because Cindy and I had some time to see the parks by ourselves!
This picture of Cindy, Tinkerbell and myself is special because we were entering Epcot by the International Gateway and there she was with hardly no line! It was a great surprise and some neat Disney Magic!
When we rode Star Tours, I actually WAS the rebel spy!
We rode Star Tours one night, and there wasn’t much line at all, but the seating worked out that most of our party was in the very back, and Cindy and I were in the row in front of them. It was so funny when we got in and got going — this being the first time we had ridden it since the renovation, mind you — and I was selected as the Rebel Spy! It was so funny!
Beast’s Rose at Kidani Village
The night before we were going to be checking out, Cindy and I went down to where the car was parked to take some things there so we wouldn’t have to mess with them in the morning. When we came back, we stopped by the lobby, and this rose was right on the check-in counter. It was so cool, Disney Magic was at it’s romantic best!
By far, though, my most lasting Disney Memory was of Stephanie and Shane.
Without a doubt, though, my all time favorite Disney Memory from that 2012 trip was this one — the night that Shane proposed to his girlfriend (and now wife) Stephanie in front of Cinderella Castle. I knew it was going to happen, so I was asked to be there to take photos, and I was lucky to get this one amidst all the tears that were flowing. They are such a wonderful loving couple, every time I see them and this picture it brings a smile to my face. Today also just happens to be the birthday of Stephanie, so what better way to celebrate than by remembering this moment that is frozen in time for all eternity!
Thank you for stopping by to visit and relive our Disney Memories 2012! What special Disney memories do you have? Please let me know in the comments, and thank you for stopping by! Now, please go out and make today a great Disney Day!
When I think of Disney History, I think back to the 40th Anniversary celebration!
Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Wordless Wednesday Post! Special thanks, as always, goes out to my friend Deb from Focused on the Magic for hosting this series each week. Today we are using the theme “Disney History”, and for me, since I don’t have many photos from the “early” Disney days, I think of our time spent at the Magic Kingdom to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. What an incredible day that was, full of fun, beautiful weather, incredible Disney Magic, and so much more. I have a couple of shots from that day that I want to share with you. The first one is the banner at the gates to the park, what better way to kick off the celebration?

Jungle Cruise — one of the original Magic Kingdom Attractions!
Lastly, I’m sharing with you a picture from the Jungle Cruise — one of the original Magic Kingdom attractions from October 1, 1971. This shot of the gorilla’s serves to prove just who is really running this site!
