The Radiator Springs Curios is a gift shop located in Cars Land at Disney’s California Adventure, and is our selection for Day 15 in our countdown to Disneyland series!.  As you all know, the store is owned by Lizzie in the movie Cars, and is a great little curio store — both in the movie and in real life!  This may be a place to get some great souvenirs, so we’ll be taking a look at it!

Have you ever bought anything at Radiator Springs Curios?  If so, let me know, and let me know also what you thought of the pricing!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a Disney Day!

As we get closer to the day we leave for our trip, we start running into more and more things that are reflective of the areas that we have a lot of interest in.  Today, for Day 16 in our countdown to Disneyland series, we are taking a look at the Cozy Cone Motel which, while not a motel like in the movie, still has plenty for us to enjoy — namely, some delicious ice cream!

The unique backstory behind Cars Land is that the Radiator Springs Racers is the next big race, and it has come to Radiator Springs!  As a result of the big race, Sally has converted the Motel into an eatery, featuring everything that you would find that comes in a cone, such as ice cream, chili “cone” queso, “route” beer floats, and even popcorn served in a cone!

This uniquely themed area will be a stopping point for us during our trip.  Is it a stopping point for you as well?

At day 18 in our countdown to Disneyland, today we are taking a look at perhaps one of the biggest series of attractions that Disney has ever added to one of it’s parks: Cars Land!

Located at Disney’s California Adventure park, Cars Land is totally based on the majestic scenery of the hit movie Cars, which my daughter Sophie reviewed for me back on July 31st, 2011.

Cars Land has something for everyone — and I have been told that my first experience of Cars Land has to be at night, when the land truly evokes a magical experience that only Disney can create.  Some of the things that you can experience at Cars Land include the following (in no particular order):

I am extremely excited to see all that Cars Land has to offer.  Places like Fillmore’s, Sarge’s, the Cozy Cone Motel, Flo’s V8 Cafe, Radiator Springs Curios, and Ramone’s offer food or souvenirs, but it still excites me to see how all of these have been inspired by the movie Cars, and to experience all of this.  To me, it just feels like this new land has so much more to experience then you find in other lands.  Maybe it’s just me, but that’s how it feels.  Tell me please, if you’ve seen it, what do you think of it?  Let me know in the comments, and thanks!

Cars Review

Hello again,

Sophie here with another exciting review. Today I’m reviewing the movie Cars. It’s main characters are Lightning McQueen, Mater, and the rest of the gang from Route 66.

On his way to Los Angeles, California McQueen’s truck door is opened and he awakens to find himself about to crash into not 1 but 3 incoming trucks! Then he found himself in a parking boot. He was set before Doc the Hudson Hornet an old retired race car with three piston cups. If you want to hear more then you’ll have to watch the movie. Adios amigos.
