When it comes to a favorite Disney snack the choices from our readers are wide and varying.  Everything from salty treats to sweet treats, cold treats to warm treats, the variations go on and on.  We asked our readers the following question:

All right #Disney #Foodies, here’s the question of the day for you: What is your favorite Disney Snack? I have a long list of them myself, but I want to hear from you — what do you absolutely have to have when you are at Walt Disney World or Disneyland?

And the response we received was incredible!  Here’s what you had to say!

Disney Snack: Mickey Mouse Pretzel

Didi had this to say:

Lately, it’s a Mickey Mouse Pretzel. (It’s all about the ears, you know.)

Carrot Cake Cookie

Jessica wrote this about her favorite Disney snack:

The carrot cake cookie at The Writer’s Stop in Hollywood Studios is one of the best snacks in all 4 parks IMO.

Deanna adds:

Brenda’s a fan of the Butterfinger Cupcake, but she also had this to say about the Carrot Cake Cookie:

I missed my Carrot Cake Cookie during my last visit. I hear it’s back :)

Dole Whip Float

Julie’s got some snacking to do!

I haven’t had any of these! My husband is frugal and we usually pack snacks. However we usually treat ourselves to a sundae at Gibson Girl or a Dole Whip float.

Cronut or Churro?

Michaelyn has the right idea!  Why choose just one favorite Disney snack?

Okay, so I would always answer churro to this question, because Disneyland churros are the best. BUT, the cronut at Epcot is on almost equal footing…which is saying a lot! Both are too good to pass up when I’m in either park!

Sundae, anyone?

Amanda has evolved in her tastes, partly because of the portion size:

I used to buy cupcakes. But they got smaller as the prices increased. Now I favor the ice cream sundae from Typhoon Lagoon. Split it with a friend!

Who’s up for Popcorn?

Melissa and I have the right idea!

I have to get popcorn at least once every trip.

For me, a box of popcorn and a Diet Coke is the perfect snack for a nighttime parade!

Rice Creme or Creme Brûlée? Why choose!

Tonya has a dilemma — she can’t choose just one!

I have a tie: Rice creme in Norway and Creme brûlée at Epcot France!!!

Nutella Waffle, anyone? Lisa’s buying!

Lisa writes:

Disney snacks are my thing and it’s hard to choose just one. But if I really had to choose it’d be the Nutella Waffle Sandwich. Big enough to share too!

Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar

For Cindy, the choice is an easy one — give her a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar any day, and twice on Sunday!

Ice Cream Sandwich

Jennifer writes:

Probably an ice cream sandwich like this. I always get one right before going in to see Fantasmic.

Sheila likes this treat that you can’t find at Disneyland:

Whoopi Pie which I can’t get at Disneyland

So there you have it, folks, the selections for favorite snack from Disney as given by you, the reader!  Thanks for joining in, feel free to tell me in the comments any other ones that you have come upon!  As for me, eventually I’ll enjoy this desert that I haven’t had before:

Magic Kingdom Attraction Guide – Buzz Lightyear

Buzz Lightyear

It’s Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!  In our next Magic Kingdom Attraction Guide post, we’re looking at the shoot-em-up adventure located over on Tomorrowland’s main strip.  Here are the parameters for this attraction:

Attraction Name: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Attraction Type: Slow Rides, Spinning
Height Requirements: None
Location: Tomorrowland
Hours of Operation: All Day
FastPass+: Available

From my experience, usually this attraction does not need a FastPass selection as the line isn’t usually that long, but FastPass is offered, so if you have one to burn, take advantage of it.  The queue for this is fun, but not interactive, unless you count Buzz as interactive, as he does talk and move around.  You are signing up to be a cadet to help Buzz fight the evil Emperor Zurg, and to do so, you will be in your specially designed spacecraft that spins so you can shoot all around you.  For each target you hit, you’ll get points, and the higher your score, the better!

What is your high score on the game, or the high score of your kids?  At the end, your score will help you determine what rank you achieve — my all time high score is 999,999, which, coincidentally, is the highest that the game will count to.  Now, I’m not ace at flying and shooting to achieve that score — the ride stopped moving, but I was still able to shoot, and the points kept going up and up and up!  So, definitely put an * next to that score for the record books, but it was fun anyway!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

70 Days: Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

Buzz Lightyear vs. Zurg. It’s the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin!

Hello everyone, and welcome to #Day70 in our #DisneyWorldCountdown!  Today is exactly 10 weeks until our trip, and for this day, we are looking at the Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin attraction, located in Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom park!  This is a family favorite of ours because it features a great movie, some fun action, usually not very long lines, and arcade action to see who can get the high score!

What is your high score in the ride?  I actually maxed it out once at 999,999!  Now, I didn’t do that because I am this ace shooting expert; no, there was a malfunction and the ride stopped, but the guns still worked, so I was able to keep hitting the same target over and over again, and that’s how I got to that score!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

“Buzz Lightyear to the rescue!”

It’s very important that you listen to all that Buzz has to tell you when you are in line to get on the ride, because he may have one tip that can help you achieve that superstar score!  It’s all about defeating Zurg, of course, and with all of us working together, I’m certain we can do just that!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

“We are eternally grateful.”

Make sure you don’t shoot these guys, though, we don’t want anyone getting hurt!

Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin

Yay! We caught Zurg, and two of his Minions, too!

See, I told you we could catch Zurg!  Looks like we caught two of his minions, too!  No wonder they look so gloomy…

Thank you for stopping by today, and please, let me know your high score on the game, and also whether or not you ride this or skip on by.  Thanks, and please go make it a Disney Day!

The Lands of Disneyland: Tomorrowland!

Today we continue our look at the lands of Disneyland Park.  Of the eight lands, we’ve covered six of them, and the only two left to look at are Tomorrowland, that we are focusing on today, and Mickey’s Toontown!

Like Fantasyland, there is a whole lot to see and do at Tomorrowland.  Just take a look at this attractions list!

There are a lot of great attractions, so I won’t touch on all of them, but I will highlight the ones I liked the best, and think you will too!

Space Mountain

Sophie didn't have much fun on Space Mountain!

Sophie didn’t have much fun on Space Mountain!

Of course I’ve got to start with the best attraction in Tomorrowland in my opinion!  I don’t have much in the way of photos, but I do love our ride photo that they displayed.  Cindy loves Space Mountain, Sophie, not nearly as much, and I’m along for the ride, but I love the two behind us!

The big difference here is that Space Mountain at Disneyland is two seats across and Space Mountain at Walt Disney World is single seats.  It was the two seats across that was the only reason Sophie decided to try it out — but she still doesn’t like it!

Star Tours – The Adventure Continues

Just like Walt Disney World, Star Tours is a great attraction!

Just like Walt Disney World, Star Tours is a great attraction!

Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage

I call this a fringe Tomorrowland attraction.

I call this a fringe Tomorrowland attraction.

Officially, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is a Tomorrowland attraction, but to me, it feels more like a Fantasyland attraction.  I think that it does to me because of the inclusion of the Finding Nemo part of the journey, if it was 20,000 Leagues or so, it would definitely be a Tomorrowland attraction.  In any case, it’s all apples and oranges, what matters is that I like the attraction — I hadn’t ridden in a “submarine” in a really long time, and it was fun to see it go on a voyage searching for Nemo!

Autopia

The Autopia, in my opinion, is better than the Tomorrowland Speedway.

The Autopia, in my opinion, is better than the Tomorrowland Speedway.

You know, I didn’t really have any intentions of riding on the Autopia, but Sophie wanted to go and drive her own car, so Cindy and I went also.  I’ve got to say that I think the Autopia is better than the Tomorrowland Speedway in the Magic Kingdom.  One thing that I definitely noticed was that the smell of gasoline seemed like it was less at the Autopia than in Florida, maybe it is, maybe it isn’t.  But that’s how it felt to me.

Jedi Training Academy

Darth Maul keeps watch at the Jedi Training Academy!

Darth Maul keeps watch at the Jedi Training Academy!

I’m going to close out our exploration of Tomorrowland by taking a look at the Jedi Training Academy.  This is something we’ve never done before at Walt Disney World, and truth be told, we didn’t do it at Disneyland either.  However, we were at lunch when it started up, so we watched it to see what it was like.  At one point in the show, Darth Maul jumped over at some of the other people watching and eating their lunch, and scared quite a few of them!  It was great.  I don’t know if it’s the same at Walt Disney World, but if it is, then we will definitely go watch it again one day!  It was one of my most enjoyable experiences we had at Disneyland.

Thank you for stopping by to visit today as we explored Tomorrowland, one of the lands of Disneyland.  Our last stop on our tour is Mickey’s Toontown, so look for that in the next couple of days!  Thanks, and remember, at My Dreams of Disney, it’s our goal to turn My Dreams of Disney into Your Dreams of Disney!

27 Days til Disneyland – Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters!

Image ©Disney Parks

Image ©Disney Parks

Located in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park, the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters attraction is similar to the attraction at Walt Disney World that I looked at for our 30 things to do series!

The obvious difference is that the name is different — Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters versus Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin.  Also, though, and this may be the biggest difference, is that the ride vehicle you are in at Disneyland has removable guns, so you can shoot over your shoulder, to the left or right of your vehicle, whatever you want to within reason.  I think this fact may make for higher scores — and makes me wonder if the rankings at the end have higher score expectations as a result.  But that’s my analytical side coming out, so we’ll ignore it.

Do you and your family like Buzz Lightyear at Disneyland?  If so, please let me know in the comments, and if not, please let me know what you don’t like about it.  Thanks for stopping by, now go get Zurg!
