Blogs to Check Out – Capturing Magical Memories!

As we continue on with our series, I’m bringing to you some blogs
that you might want to take a look at. I am both proud and honored to
be affiliated with both the great writers of Chip & Company, and the
incredible group that is known as the Magical Blogorail, and in this
small way, I hope to be able to say thanks to those bloggers that have
helped to make me the blogger that I am. Next on our list is my friend Mary’s site, Capturing Magical Memories!

My friend Mary is the creator of the site Capturing Magical Memories.  Her blog is a very creative one because it combines her love of Disney with her love of scrapbooking — in fact, her current background is one that she made with her digital scrapbooking software!  Mary is a member of the Magical Blogorail Teal line, and has been involved with the Blogorail on that line since it started in June.

In addition to her “work” with the Teal Team, Mary also loves to showcase the pictures that she takes when her family vacations at Walt Disney World!  Mary also loves to write articles that will help take the newbie (that would be me) from the world of photos to the world of scrapbooking!  Mary is also an Independent Consultant for Creative Memories, a company that offers scrapbooking products that will help anyone create magical books of memories that last a lifetime.

Mary is a great person, a great blogger, and a great addition to the Magical Blogorail!  If you haven’t been to her site, I urge you to check it out!

5 Minutes for Mom Ultimate Blog Party 2014 #UBP

April 4th, 2014.  Set your reminders now — the 2014 Ultimate Blog Party is underway on that date!  Running from April 4th – 11th, 2014, this is an excellent opportunity for you to experience some new blogs, have some fun, learn some things, and win some prizes!  Hosted by my friends at 5 Minutes for Mom, this is an annual blog party that truly does open up some excellent blogs for you to review!

For those of you that are new to this blog, My Dreams of Disney was started in September, 2010, as a way for me to document the memories that I and my family have of our trips to Walt Disney World.  Over the years, though, we have seen our blog expand by leaps and bounds, and now we help you plan your perfect Disney vacation!  I started as a part time travel agent in February 2013, and it is my goal here at My Dreams of Disney to help you turn My Dreams of Disney into Your Dreams of Disney!

Part of how we accomplish that is in our listing of Disney Planning Resources, as well as trip reviews, articles written with my friends at the Magical Blogorail, and more!

As part of the #UBP for 2014, I have decided to include a prize in the list of prizes to be given away during the week!  My prize will consist of the following Disney related items:

A $25 Disney Gift Card!

A $25 Disney Gift Card!

and a 50th Anniversary Edition of The Muppet Movie!

You could win this!

Today is the final day to enter to win our $150 Disney Gift Card Contest!

We are down to our final day in our $150 Disney Gift Card Contest!  We have had a lot of fun with this contest, but there is still time to enter and win, so don’t give up on it just yet when you could be so close to winning!

Our contest started on Monday, December 10th, 2012 at Midnight, and is continuing until tonight, December 18th, 2012 at 11:59PM!  Tomorrow we will announce the winner, who will win a $150 Disney Gift Card and a customized tote bag!

Who wants to win a $150 Disney Gift Card?

There are so many possibilities available to you should you be the lucky winner of the Gift Card and Customized Tote Bag!  Here is an example picture of what the tote bag will look like:

If you win, you will get your own “The Woodard Family” Tote Bag!  Just kidding!  You can actually have it customized with your name!

From our contests, it appears that the top two ways to spend your gift card is to either save it and use it for your next Disney vacation, or to spend it on Christmas presents.  Certainly neither  option is a bad one!  However, there are two other thoughts you could consider — especially considering the season that we are in.

First of all, $150 would be almost all that you need to purchase a two day ticket for yourself — or nearly all you need to purchase a 1 day ticket for yourself and a child between age three and nine.  In the latter case, you would only have to spend an extra $22 for your park tickets!  Of course, this doesn’t take into consideration hotel cost, food, and so forth, but for some people, it might be just the thing they need!

The other option you can consider is giving the gift card to your favorite charity, such as Give Kids the World.  There are a number of charities out there that send kids stricken with cancer and other illnesses (and their families) to Walt Disney World to help them get away from the stresses of their illness.

The choice is yours — and let me stress to you that none of these choices is a bad choice.  The world has more then it’s share of problems — and the chances are great that you and your family have been impacted in some way because of the economy or some other life event.

The biggest thing you can do, though, is to enter to win the gift card and customized tote bag!  If you don’t enter, you can’t win!

So how do I enter the contest?

To enter you need to follow the requirements on the Rafflecopter code located below, and to encourage full participation and to help spread the word throughout the Internet, there are daily options for you to tweet about the contest and share the contest for more entries!  You can even leave a blog post comment for additional entries as well!

Good luck to everyone that enters our contest! We only have one winner, but all of you are winners in our eyes!  Thanks for following all of us as we bring you our little bits of Disney Magic from our corner of the Internet!
