Hello everyone, and welcome to day 27 in our Disney World Countdown series!  Today we are taking a look at a brand new parade that opened at the Magic Kingdom this past March 9th!  It’s called the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, and features some incredible costume design, floats, and so much more!  I can’t wait to check this parade out when we visit next month!

The Festival of Fantasy parade features some incredible floats, including floats for Belle and the Beast, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Anna and Elsa, Cinderella and Prince Charming, and Ariel!  The vivid colors that are used in these floats are absolutely incredible!

See how vibrant those colors are on the characters?  Stunning is all I’ve got to say about it!

Have you had a chance to see this parade yet in person?  If so, what did you think of it?  Or, if you haven’t, do you think you’ll take time to view it the next time you are there?  Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by today!

Beauty and the Beast

39 Days: Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage

Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage is our selection for #Day39.

Welcome to our #DisneyWorldCountdown, thank you for stopping by!  Today we are taking a look at Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage, our selection for #Day39 in our countdown!  This is a great stage show located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  It’s full of drama, intrigue, romance, violence, and in the end, a true Disney happy ending!  If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you make time to do so on your next visit!

Beauty and the Beast

Disney does a great job at telling the story on stage.

Disney did a great job of incorporating the fight scene between Beast and Gaston, with the fight going back and forth.  For a while, I wasn’t sure who would win!

As you can see here at the end, Disney does a good job of transforming the Beast into the Man, and all of the other characters into their human forms.

Beauty and the Beast

Belle and the Prince join the dance at the end!

Do you take time to watch Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage?  Do you like it, or do you skip it?  Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by!

Enchanted Tales

71 Days: Enchanted Tales with Belle

Hello everyone, and welcome to today’s #DisneyWorldCountdown post!  This is #Day71 in our countdown, and for this day, we are looking at an attraction that is not only an attraction, but also a meet and greet location!  Of course I’m talking about Enchanted Tales with Belle!

Located in the New Fantasyland section of the Magic Kingdom, Enchanted Tales is something that we haven’t done before, but I suspect that the girls in our group will want to do it this trip.  By itself, it feels like this is “just” a meet and greet, but to me, what makes this more than that is the setting that it is laid out in.  The building is great, it’s like you are winding your way right into the story of Beauty and the Beast!

Of course, this isn’t just a meet and greet, despite what I said earlier.  This is also a story time session, where you get to sit and listen to Belle tell a story, and if you are one of the lucky ones, you may even be selected to help fill one of the roles!

I’m not sure if this is an attraction that the girls will want to experience or not; after all, they are 12 (almost 13), 12 and 11, so they may feel like this is more for the 6 or 7 year old princesses, but who knows?  What do you think?  Will older kids like this as much as younger, or do you think it is more geared towards the younger audience?  Please let me know in the comments below, and thanks for stopping by!

My Dreams of a Disney….Wedding

When my fiancee proposed to me, my first thought was “I would LOVE to get married at Walt Disney World. Imagine saying your vows in a beautiful location with Cinderella’s Castle in the distance; that’s what you would get if your ceremony is held in Disney’ Wedding Pavilion.”  There are other ceremony sites (for more information and additional ceremony sites, check out the Disney Wedding website.

Then I began thinking about it. I wouldn’t feel right asking my nearest and dearest to have to take a vacation and travel for my wedding. The only way I would have been happy with a Disney wedding would be if we could afford to pay for everyone’s Disney World trip. Given the cost of the wedding and then a trip, I priced our wedding out of Disney (plus I figure having all our wedding guests at Disney would create a situation where our wedding guests would be on our honeymoon with us!)

The obvious choice was to head to Disney World for our honeymoon! While looking at the Disney Wedding site, I found that you can register for a Disney honeymoon (as my fiancee and I live together, we have many of the more traditional registry items so this registry is a great option for us). The way it works is you make your travel plans (you can reach out to a Disney trip planner, such as Mike who runs this wonderful blog) and then you can register for items for your trip. My registry includes requests for contributions for the room, the dining plan, tickets as well as Mickey and Minnie bride and groom ears, a carriage ride and a champagne welcome. Check out the Disney Honeymoon registry site for more information.

In addition to my honeymoon, Alfred Angelo makes Disney princess dresses and veils. I have ordered a “Belle” dress, the picture of me in a Belle dress is not the dress I am wearing for my wedding (I don’t want to publish pictures of me in my wedding dress before my wedding).

There are many other Disney items you can get for your wedding as well. There are Disney invitations, Disney cake toppers, Disney champagne flutes. Pretty much anything you would want for your wedding, you can get a Disney version of! An added bonus is that the Disney items are not more expensive than non-Disney versions of these items.

Did you have a Disney wedding or go to Disney World on your honeymoon? If not and you are thinking about it, I hope I have given you some ideas.  Let us know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by today!

By Mike Ellis.  Welcome to the Disney Princess Fantasy Faire, a new section of Fantasyland that is home to many of your favorite Disney Princesses!  You can see Rapunzel from Tangled, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and many other of your favorite Disney characters each day.  Within this new section, you’ll find that there are two new shows, one featuring Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, the other featuring Belle.  Additionally, in the Royal Hall, you can meet other great Disney Princesses face to face!  This new area sounds like the perfect stop for your Disney Prince or Princess to stop and enjoy!

Have you been able to check out the Fantasy Faire yet?  It is a new section at Disneyland, and just opened in March, so if you have been, what did you think of it?  Please let me know in the comments, or on our Facebook Page, and thanks!
