Rise of the Resistance
Next up on in our Attraction Series of new attractions at Walt Disney World is the one attraction that perhaps more than any has received the greatest buzz since it opened. In fact, the most buzz since before it opened: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Opening at Walt Disney World on December 5, 2019, Rise of the Resistance is as close to an immersive experience as any you will find at Disney. It opened to incredible fanfare, with page after page of reviews of how the attraction draws you into the Star Wars universe over at Galaxy’s Edge.
I won’t go into all of the details of the ride, in case you haven’t experienced it in person yet, but the basic premise is that Rey has recruited you and everyone around you to help her with the Resistance. The time period is sometime between the movies The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. My image does not do the setting justice, but just imagine receiving a message from Rey asking you to help the Resistance. The thought sends a chill down my spine just thinking about it.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is an incredible new attraction at Walt Disney World, and the Disney Imagineering team has a lot to be proud of with this one!
