About Mike Ellis

Mike has been a Disney fan since his first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1979 when he was 11 years old. Since that first trip, he has seen parks open, lands close, and attractions come and go, but one thing remains the same, his love for Disney is as strong as ever.

His Disney adventures caused him to start My Dreams of Disney because he wanted to document for his family and friends all of the special Disney Memories he has enjoyed with his family, and since that first post in 2010, Mike's hobby has become his passion!

Now a Travel Consultant with Pixie Vacations for over nine years, Mike has helped many of his readers plan and have incredible Disney vacations of their own. Check us out on Facebook and Twitter. We love Sci-Fi and I think the food there is really underrated. And it’s nice that you can have a romantic lunch or dinner.

I love Sci Fi Dine-In! We went there on our Disneymoon. In addition to great GF burgers, it’s our favorite source of vegan burgers and the best dairy free milk shakes on property!

Thanks for commenting Lori! We’re always appreciative when a Disney restaurant has GF offerings, and it’s nice to see Sci-Fi offers other allergy-free foods as well! And I learned a new word: Disneymoon!

I really do enjoy the Sci-Fi Dine In. The food is not fancy but good and the portions large. Most of the time we just order a few items and share. You must save room for the famous milkshakes.

Great post, Lee! We have eaten at the Sci-Fi once, and I’ve got to say I was not very impressed. I had ribs, but they were too dry in my opinion, so I was disappointed. Cindy said that her burger was great, though, so we may try it again in the future. I love your description of it all — and by the way, my friend, Cindy and I DID sit in the back seat! ;)

You know, I would never have considered Sci-Fi for a romantic meal, but I totally see it now. I’ll be channeling my inner Sandra Dee for this one!
