About Mike Ellis

Mike has been a Disney fan since his first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1979 when he was 11 years old. Since that first trip, he has seen parks open, lands close, and attractions come and go, but one thing remains the same, his love for Disney is as strong as ever.

His Disney adventures caused him to start My Dreams of Disney because he wanted to document for his family and friends all of the special Disney Memories he has enjoyed with his family, and since that first post in 2010, Mike's hobby has become his passion!

Now a Travel Consultant with Pixie Vacations for over eight years, Mike has helped many of his readers plan and have incredible Disney vacations of their own. Check us out on Facebook and Twitter. I would love to see more resort pictures.  You could add a section about what you bring in a day backpack for the parks for tips and others can add ideas.

I would like to see more restaurant reviews. Although I've been to Disney World many times, there are still restaurants I haven't visited and I would like to know more about.

Ditto on the previous comments. We are planning our first Disney trip with our 3 kids, both sets of parents, and 2 of our sisters. So I'd love to see more about how to plan while pleasing everyone!

Thanks for the very nice compliment, Julie!  Keep in mind that the rafflecopter code uses to pick the winner, so your very kind words will have no affect on the outcome, so if you want to change your comment, go right ahead! :)

I do have more restaurant reviews I need to work on, as well as a review for Pop Century that I haven't done yet, but I do appreciate the high praise!

Thanks for the comment, Beth!  That's a niche that I don't have much experience with because we only have Sophie to keep entertained, but when we go in June, we'll be with our close friends who have a 4 yo daughter and a 2 1/2 yo son, so I should have a lot of great information to pass on from that trip!  When do you think your next trip to Disney will be?

Thanks for commenting Cathleen!  I've been thinking about doing something with Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom, but haven't figured out what yet.  However, I've never been to the water parks, so I don't have anything to share there.  Do you go to them?  If so, would you be interested in writing some posts about it?  Good luck with the contest!

I'm always looking for creative ways to entertain toddlers/ preschoolers at WDW while we are waiting for big brother to do his “big boy” things!!

I'll be going in July with my youth group- no “kids” that time!  I have no idea after that… Hopefully in 2014 before the newest baby turns 2- if not sooner! :)

Jalundgr, that may have to wait a bit.  Right now we haven't done any of the behind the scenes tours because my daughter is 10 (nearly 11) and the Disney Magic is still burning brightly.  When she gets older, though, my wife and I would like to do the Keys to the Kingdom tour, that's for sure!  Thanks for commenting!

Good suggestion, Lynn!  Thanks for commenting, I'm generating a running list of these suggestions by everyone to incorporate into the site.  Good luck with the contest!
