Welcome to those of you joining me from Makin’ Memories and those of you who have just hopped aboard. I am the 2nd stop on our Magical Blogorail.
In this month’s edition, we are looking at the World Showcase pavilion that we can spend the most time in. Hop aboard, join the ride, and enjoy all of the sites, sounds, and smells that you will enjoy at my pavilion of choice!
Talk about a challenging topic for this month! This topic took quite a few of the old brain cells to come up with the one pavilion that I can spend the most time in simply because there are so many that I enjoy! For regular readers of my blog, you may remember that I have a whole page setup for the Countries of the World Showcase, so each and every country means something special to me in it’s own way. But for me, I think I’ve got to give the nod on my favorite pavilion to the Mexico Pavilion.
There is just so much to enjoy about Mexico! I love the Aztec pyramid that sets the mood for this unique pavilion. Did you know that the pyramid is based off of a real Aztec Temple of Quetzalcoatl at Teotihuacan, Mexico? Details like that are what set’s Disney apart from anywhere else in my opinion, and they can be found throughout Walt Disney World.
Once you step inside, the theming of the Mexico Pavilion jumps right out and draws you in for further inspection. Inside it feels like an open air market, perhaps after a gentle rain has fallen. It is nearing dinner time, you feel, and the smells from the San Angel Inn bombard you with authentic Mexican flavors, and if you love Mexican cuisine like I do, you feel your mouth start watering just thinking about it! As you walk around, come down into the market itself, and look at the unique market stalls, where you can purchase your own special souvenir to remember your visit. In addition to the wonderful sites and sounds and smells in the Mexico Pavilion, you can also find the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros boat ride! This gentle boat ride is one of our family favorite rides — I think of it as Mexico’s equivalent of “it’s a small world“! The ride is a trip through Mexico as you look for — who else — Donald Duck, who has gone missing! Jose and Panchito are searching near and far for Donald because they need to give their performance, and everyone knows that the Three Caballeros are not the same without Donald as part of the group! In the end, of course, they are all reunited, just in time for the grand send off. We love this ride, and will gladly ride it several times per vacation!
I love the sites, smells, sounds, and experiences that the Mexico Pavilion has to offer visitors at the World Showcase. I hope that in reading this you have gained a new appreciation for this pavilion, and that you spend more time visiting it the next time that you are at Walt Disney World! Thanks for reading!
Thank you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is A World View.
The Mexico Pavilion is a nice place to cool off and get some good food that reminds me of home (I live in TX). Great post!

I love the atmosphere inside the Mexico Pavilion. It is just so fun. Like Jodi said too, it is also a great place to cool off.
Mexico is a wonderful place to cool down; some of the best shopping at the “World” and the Three Caballeros.
The Mexico Pavilion plays to all my senses! Especially the food. Yum! Thanks for another great post!
