About Mike Ellis

Mike has been a Disney fan since his first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1979 when he was 11 years old. Since that first trip, he has seen parks open, lands close, and attractions come and go, but one thing remains the same, his love for Disney is as strong as ever.

His Disney adventures caused him to start My Dreams of Disney because he wanted to document for his family and friends all of the special Disney Memories he has enjoyed with his family, and since that first post in 2010, Mike's hobby has become his passion!

Now a Travel Consultant with Pixie Vacations for over eight years, Mike has helped many of his readers plan and have incredible Disney vacations of their own. Check us out on Facebook and Twitter. You know, I have to be honest and say that I don’t remember when the last time was that I actually walked through Tomorrowland at night. Oh, I think it was during the Christmas party in 2013 – so not TOO long ago. But, you’re right, Mike – it truly is beautiful at night! Those vibrant colors make Tomorrowland so much more fun at night!

I love riding the PeopleMover at night. You can see the lights throughout the Park as well as right in Tomorrowland. Nice post, Mike!

Me too, Lee! I can’t wait until our next trip — date TBD — so that I can ride the PeopleMover and record it with my GoPro! Thanks for commenting!

My old home! I love Tomorrowland at night. One of my favorite memories of working at Space Mountain was strolling through Tomorrowland after the park closed. The colors are so vibrant and the area music makes for a perfect setting. Thanks for sharing Mike!

    • Mary at Capturing Magical Memories – Houston, TX – Hi! I'm Mary and my blog is I am also the wife of a Disney Travel Agent, a mom to 2 boys, a full-time career mom, a budding graphic designer on the side. In the little free time that is left I love to learn about photography. We currently live in Houston, TX and own Disney Vacation Club.

I second this comment. The characters are so interactive that you can’t help yourself to stop and dance. Some great family photo ops!

  4. dadfordisney – Upstate NY – Hello and welcome to the Dad For Disney Blog. I'm Tim Brooks and I live in upstate NY with my wife of 19 years and our fourteen-year old daughter. I spent the early part of my career out of college working in sports information at the University of Delaware and then Allentown College. After leaving Allentown College, I did some freelance work and then taught sports management at Lehigh-Carbon Community College and then The College of St. Rose when we moved to upstate NY for my wife’s career. After my wife gave birth to our daughter, I decide to stay home with her and put my career on hold. Now, that she is ten years old, I volunteer at her school while keeping the house in order and writing my WDW planning guide tentatively named "Walt Disney World for Tweens and Teens". Dad For Disney and the Dad For Disney Blog is in no way part of, endorsed or authorized by, or affiliated with the Walt Disney Company or its affiliates.

Astro Orbiter is a fun attraction at night. You can see so far.
