When I learned this month’s topic, the first thing that popped into my head was something to the effect that when we go to Walt Disney World, most of the time we don’t take a break outside of the parks! But then I thought a little more, and I realized that this isn’t really the case.
Every couple of years we’ll plan our vacations with one day where we spend at least part of a day over at Downtown Disney. As you all know, DTD is has a great assortment of shops, restaurants, and entertainment for the whole family. In June, 2010, my wife, daughter, and niece took a ride on “Characters in Flight.” Here are some of the pictures that they took from that tethered helium balloon ride!
I hope that you have enjoyed our look at Characters In Flight and Downtown Disney. I would also like to welcome our newest member of the Magical Blogorail Red line on board, so welcome Disney Donna Kay!
you for joining me today. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is A World View.
Magical Blogorail should you happen to have to make a stop along the way and
want to reboard:
1st Stop ~ Makin’ Memories
My Dreams of Disney
We LOVE Downtown Disney. Our last two trips have been more leisurely in nature and we've spent quite a bit of time at DD. We've not done Characters in Flight though. :)
Love those pics! And I like that it's completely netting in.. makes me feel way better!
Thanks so much for the welcome!! I would love to do Characters in Flight, maybe on our next trip. Great pictures!!
This is number one of my list of things to try next trip! Our last trip, because of weather, Characters in Flight was grounded everyday we were in Downtown Disney. Love the pictures you shared!
Thanks everyone! Those pictures were taken by Cindy, I just cropped them down a little bit! I don't know why I chickened out when they went, but I've been kicking myself for 18 months, so it is definitely something I want to do next time if I can!
Another bucket list item – I just can't wait to do Characters in Flight
Too much fun!
Thanks everyone on the comments! Bruce, you are right, that is a bucket list item, but not that expensive though!
