Anna Jane is not, at least not yet, a daredevil kind of girl like Sophie is. But she does like to have fun, and as you all know, there is a lot of fun to be had at Walt Disney World. Since we are going to be arriving at Bay Lake Towers probably after 7PM or so, our first stop to the parks will be to the Magic Kingdom that night because they have extra magic hours!!! Purely by coincidence (or is it Disney Magic at work?), Magic Kingdom will be open until 2AM that night! Since we are a hop, skip, and a jump away from MK anyway, that is where we will give Anna Jane and all of us our first Disney World experience this year!
But back to the question at hand…what attraction or ride will be our first ride? Well, like I said, with Anna Jane not being a daredevil like Sophie, it will probably not be Space Mountain, or Splash Mountain, or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And, seeing as how we won’t get into the parks until later in the evening, the line for Peter Pan’s Flight will likely be much longer than we want to wait for our first ride of the day. But there are still some rides that I like very much that I think Anna Jane and the others will want to ride as well! There is the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, with it’s new interactive queue; and there is “it’s a small world”, with it’s wonderful, timeless quality that I just love; of course, there is the closest thing that exists now to the old Skyway, the TTA over in Tomorrowland. And don’t forget some of our classic attractions, The Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean!
I guess, when it comes right down to it, I really don’t have any clue what ride will be our first ride at Walt Disney World. If you remember my post “Weekend Remembrances“, some of the best things I like about Disney World don’t even have anything to do with which ride I’m taking.
In a nutshell, I guess the one thing that I must do before anything else when I get to Walt Disney World is to slow down, take a big, deep breath, and stop, look, listen, and smell all of the wonderful things that makes Walt Disney World that truly magical place to visit, and one that we absolutely love to go to over and over again. For me, the best feeling I get in the world is the reaction I get like this one we got a couple of years ago, when Sophie found out where we were headed to. It’s moments like this that makes it all worthwhile for me.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope that, while I didn’t exactly answer the topic exactly the way it was intended, you still understand where I’m coming from. Your next stop on the Magical Blogorail Loop is A World View.
I fully understand; that was my problem – so I put what we like to do first even thought it wasn't an attraction… food!
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who struggled with this decision :) But sounds like you're going to have a magical time on your first evening!!
haha! It is highly dependent on which park you hit and what time of the day you arrive isnt it. A hard question for sure. http://www.tipsfromthedisneydiva.blogspot.com
I would have a hard time with this topic!! I don't have a “must do first” attraction at any of the parks. It always depends on the mood I'm in or the consensus of the group!! I have my “must do” list, but not a “must do first” attraction!
Thanks everyone for your comments! The answer this trip was that we caught the tail end of the Main St. Electrical Parade, then we went over to the Mad Teacups!
Thats how I feelat WDW – I don't have a specific first anything (park or ride).. all depends on timing. Hope your'e having a great time with all of your fam celebrating!!
