About Mike Ellis

Mike has been a Disney fan since his first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1979 when he was 11 years old. Since that first trip, he has seen parks open, lands close, and attractions come and go, but one thing remains the same, his love for Disney is as strong as ever.

His Disney adventures caused him to start My Dreams of Disney because he wanted to document for his family and friends all of the special Disney Memories he has enjoyed with his family, and since that first post in 2010, Mike's hobby has become his passion!

Now a Travel Consultant with Pixie Vacations for over nine years, Mike has helped many of his readers plan and have incredible Disney vacations of their own. Check us out on Facebook and Twitter. Wow, Mike, what fabulous photos that you got of such wonderful family memories! I can’t believe how much Sophie has grown since I first “met” you. You are certainly blessed with a beautiful family! I’m so glad I got to meet you in person.

  3. disneydonnakay – United States – If you’ve seen me on the web you already know there’s nothing I love more than planning Disney parties, but I love everything Disney from the history to the theme parks to the movies. I can sometimes be sarcastic, but always helpful, and a mostly entertaining Disney Fanatic!! A true Alabama girl, born and raised, I live with my husband, Mike, and son, Dakota on a 150 acre farm in Troy that's been in my husband's family since before the Civil War. My daughter, Ashley, lives in Clarksville, TN with her husband, Eric, and their kids Lexi & Tripp. If you we ever get to meet in person, you will find a genuine Southern accent, the overuse of affectionate terms like "Honey", "Sugar", and "Darlin” and an uncontrollable need to dote over everybody.

We took my daughter to Ariel’s Grotto when she was four years old. We thought it would be a nice lower-key alternative to eating at the castle at Disney World. We were right! It was a great way for her to meet all the princesses. I also remember that my son’s hotdog was cut to look like an octopus.

Loved this, as I know little to nothing about dining at Disneyland! Looks like a wonderful time, we’ll have to follow in your steps one of these days. :)

(Sorry it took me so long to swing by, I’ve been traveling for work… )
