Welcome to those of you joining me from A World View and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
When I heard that my friends on the Magical Blogorail Green team were needing an additional writer, and that the theme was “The Extras of a Disney Christmas!”, I joined right on in and volunteered to be there for the post. Thanks everyone for having me this month!
The funny thing about all of this is that I’ve never been to Walt Disney World at Christmas, so, as a result, I thought I would share with you the incredible sites and sounds that I’m picturing in my mind’s eye about what I will like most of all when we are able to go to Walt Disney World during the Christmas season. It’s a day that can’t get here soon enough, let me tell you! Since there are so many incredible things to explore, I thought I would focus on three specific events — some special ticket, some not — that I am most looking forward to at Walt Disney World.
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Of course, one of my top options when we are visiting during Christmas is going to be the special event ticket Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Where else can you see snow on Main Street, U.S.A., eat cookies and drink hot chocolate, see special Wishes, and more!
Candlelight Processional

Another choice I have in mind for our trip is the Candlelight Processional, which is held in the American Gardens Theater located right outside the American Adventure pavilion. With stunning music, incredible narration from a host of top performers, and incredible visuals, the Candlelight Processional is not to be missed. Officially, the Candlelight Processional is no extra charge, all you need is your park ticket for Epcot that day. However, they also have a dining option prior to the show that you can take advantage of that will give you special seating for the show, so it might be worth it to take advantage of that.
Holidays around the World

The third thing that I really want to explore is what I call “Christmas around the World” — in each of the World Showcase countries of Epcot, you will find decorative displays that showcase how that country celebrates the season! From my perspective, it sounds like the perfect way to experience a whole new dimension to my favorite park at Walt Disney World, and I can’t wait until I can soak it all in for myself!
Thank you for joining Magical Blogorail Green this month. We will be back in January with an all new theme. Keep checking in with our blogs in between loops to keep up to date with our Disney news, photos and stories. If you are looking for more Disney magic, you can make your way over to The Magical Blogorail website to see all our members and their blogs, as well as all our previous loops.

Great post Mike! You’ve listed all of my favorite extras during the holidays. I think my favorite was the Candlelight Processional. It was so beautiful that we went several times during our vacation.
Great post! If I am ever in WDW during December again, I am so seeing Candlelight processional.
I’ve never been during the holidays either Mike and I would love to!! All of the pictures I have seen look so festive and fun. Maybe someday we will both get to mark this one off of our Disney Bucket List!!
Great post and list Mike! Those are my favorites!
You must make it down for Christmas! It’s so magical and special! I love that time of year anyway, but celebrating at Disney makes it that much better! :)
I can’t believe you haven’t been to a Disney Park for Christmas Mike, it truly is the most wonderful time of the year at the most magical place on earth!.
These all are definite must dos on your visit – but you note on the Candlelight Processional is particularly important. Without reserving a special meal and seat, the wait can be much too long; and remember it must be from the CP selections list, not just a regular dining reservation.
Walt Disney World during Christmas is on my bucket list too, it looks like a magical wonderland!! I can’t wait to go someday and see snow on Main Street.
I hope you get to visit WDW during the holidays soon. You would love it! The Holidays Around the World at Epcot is one of my favorite parts.
Fantastic site. A lot of useful info here.
I am sending it to some pals ans also sharing in delicious.
And certainly, thanks in your effort!
