Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Blue Loop. Today we are strategies to tackle all four Walt Disney World parks in one day!
Magic Kingdom. Epcot. Hollywood Studios. Animal Kingdom. The four main parks at Walt Disney World. The subject of the Magical Blogorail Blue post this month — 4 parks 1 day challenge!
In this post, I’m going to share with you my thoughts on this, and what I will be doing when I have the opportunity to take on this challenge. Of course, I do have some preconceived notions of how my day will go, and I’m including a little artistic license here, but I think my plan is a workable one. You tell me, though, at the end, leave me a comment and let me know what you think!
Magic Kingdom
For our 4 parks 1 day challenge, we are starting our day at the Magic Kingdom. Arriving early, we are tackling three of our favorite rides right off the bat: Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and Space Mountain. The thought I have is that we’ll ride Splash Mountain second, then take the WDW Railroad over to Fantasyland and walk to Space Mountain from there. After that, I plan on taking on the Carousel of Progress and the PeopleMover, and then we’ll head for the Monorail.
Epcot
The next logical step for us in our journey is to take the Monorail from the Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticketing Center over to Epcot. When we arrive, the first attraction we’re going to ride is, of course, Spaceship Earth. That ride, to this day, continues to be one of my all time favorites. After that, I’m heading over to Mexico to ride the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros! After that, crowd depending, we may stop in Norway and ride the new Frozen ride. From there, we’re going to head out the International Gateway in World Showcase and catch the water taxi to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
It’s at Hollywood Studios that we are ready to grab a bite to eat for lunch. I think that the park lends itself to that, so on our way to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, we grab a bite at Fairfax Fare. This is a great little market just a short distance from the attraction. After Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, I head up to Toy Story to take on that fun attraction, and then swing by and enjoy perhaps my favorite attraction at Hollywood Studios: Star Tours. From there, we’re heading to our next stop on our journey.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park
From Hollywood Studios, I’m going to next head over to Animal Kingdom, our 4th park in the day. By this time, it’s getting late in the day, so I decide to get some dinner. For me, a great quick service restaurant at Animal Kingdom is Flame Tree Barbecue. Grabbing a bite there, for me, my attractions of choice on this day are Expedition Everest, followed by Kali River Rapids, and a nighttime showing of the new Jungle Book show. You’ll notice that I’m slowing down a bit, but luck for me, I get my second wind because it’s time to head to our last destination!
Extra Magic Hours
Our last destination is none other than back to the Magic Kingdom! I planned this day out to coincide for when the Magic Kingdom had evening Extra Magic Hours, because there are a couple of things I want to relive in my mind — past memories from trips gone by that still bring me joy to this day. So, after arriving back at the Magic Kingdom, I head to the steps of Cinderella Castle, and remember this scene that I was witness to…
The other memorable memory that I want to relive happened in 2010 during Extra Magic Hours. Cindy and I were witness to this memory…
My friends, thank you for joining us today! I hope that you have enjoyed your stay, please let me know how you would tackle the 4 parks 1 day challenge!

We chose the same park order. I like that all of the transportation options are utilized this way which adds to the challenge! But slipping in a ‘fifth’ park at the end? You’re a wild man!
Wild and crazy Lee! Thanks for commenting!
We did the 4 parks in 1 day on April 27 this year! Started at AK, Dinosaur , Everest and met a bunch of characters. Then HS for tower of terror, star tours, toy story..over to Epcot for spaceship earth, Canada, meeting characters…then my husband and son went back to HS to ride Aerosmith a few times as it was closed when we were there. My daughter and I headed to MK and we stayed till 1am, met up with the rest of our family and hit about 10 rides. An awesome day for sure.
How exciting Tara! I love hearing the enthusiasm in readers over their experiences at Disney. Thanks for sharing, have a great week!
I love that you’ve dreamt up the perfect 4 Parks day for you! I think ending in the Magic Kingdom during EMH would be a perfect nightcap! :)
Thanks, Jennifer! I really enjoyed this loop!
Douple dipping at Magic Kingdom is a nice touch! Nothing beats early morning or late night on Main Street U.S.A., and you might think you’d have to choose one or the other for the challenge, not BOTH!
But if you can do it, I think that’s the best version I’ve seen yet!
Thanks, James! I can’t wait until the opportunity arises to try it out and see how it goes! Thanks for the comment, have a great day!
I agree. To me that does count as a 5th park with bragging rites.
