Welcome to the first stop aboard Magical Blogorail Red. Enjoy the ride as we share our favorite time to visit Disney.
When it comes to Disney, is there really a time that isn’t your favorite time to visit? I would think that just being there would qualify your trip as your “favorite time.” However, for the purpose of this dream, what we are going with is, if nothing is preventing you from going, no kids in school, no work deadlines, nothing at all inhibiting your travel date, when is your favorite or ideal time to visit Disney World or any of the other Disney parks?
My family has been blessed to be able to take many trips to Walt Disney World over the years. Now that my daughter is about to begin middle school, our trips are basically during the summer months when she is out of school. However, last year we were graced with some true Disney Magic that allowed us to be able to be at Walt Disney World for the start of the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, and be able to witness the 40th Anniversary of Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom! That was a truly memorable time, and it is one that I won’t soon forget!
However, the one time that I really want to visit Walt Disney World during is Christmas! When it comes to my favorite time of the year, Christmas is it, hands down!
I’ve never been to Disney World during Christmas, and I don’t think we’ll make it there during that time of year for some time yet because of work and school conflicts. However, I have promised myself (and more importantly, my wife!) that we will make it down there one of these years. It doesn’t have to be right at Christmas, in fact, I have heard that it is insane to be there during that time! I’ve heard that the best time to go if you are going during the Christmas season is to go the week after Thanksgiving. The crowds are light, the decorations at the parks are out, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is going on, and all is right in the World!
What is your favorite time of the year to visit Walt Disney World or the other Disney parks? Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by!

Hey Cora! Thanks for commenting, would you be willing to share some photos from your December trip! I can only dream about a Christmas trip to Disney World right now, but one day… :) Thanks, and enjoy the planning and the countdown to that December trip!
Christmas is our favorite time to visit–it's just so beautiful!
Last year we were there the end of May and the 9th to the 13th of December and it was great both times. The longest lines were 20min. no longer…This year we will be there Dec. 19th to the 23rd, it may be a much more busy time. The last time we were there Christmas week was back in 1986 !
Right On! Nothing beats a Disney Christmas Season – particularly since it goes on for such a long time.
One day I'll be there at Christmas, Bruce and Deb! Thanks!
Your trip last year sounds like an amazing combination! What fun. Hope you reach your goal – I love having future Disney dreams… it's part of the magic having something to look forward to. :)
Thanks Tami! One day I'll make it there for Christmas. One day…
