Today is the birthday of my lovely wife Cindy! Those of you that have been reading for a while know that Cindy and Sophie are instrumental in helping plan the Disney trips that we love so much! I can safely say without hesitation that if Cindy and I hadn’t gotten met, I would likely not be anywhere near the Disney fan that I am today.
She has seen me at my best, and she has seen me at my worst, and through thick and thin, regardless, she continues to love me to this day. If that was all I had in this life, then I would still be the most blessed man in the world.
As it is, with Cindy we have had our wonderful daughter Sophie, whom we have shown love and compassion for nearly 12 years now. We have bought our first home together, we have cried over losing loved ones, and prayed over others that were nearly lost to us.
We have witnessed the joy of seeing how compassionate our baby is towards her fellow human beings, and we have cried at the fear that the word Autism carries when we learned of her ASD.
We cried together when Sophie was born seven weeks early, and some of those tears were for Cindy knowing that her Mom and Dad were watching from Heaven, and would not be able to hold Sophie in their arms.
In August Cindy and I will celebrate our 13th Wedding Anniversary. Just prior to that, we will take Sophie (shh, it’s sort of a secret!) to Walt Disney World when Pixie Vacations has a big Pixie get together for fun and relaxation and a chance to meet your fellow Travel Agents. When we get there, we will be staying at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa — the signature place to stay, where Cindy and I plan on staying for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Suffice it to say, neither one of us thought we would be staying there prior to that, so staying there in 1/2 the time we thought it would take is a special treat for us!
I know that this post has been all over the place, but that’s because my love for Cindy knows no boundaries, has no limits, and expands day by day. There are so many things that I look forward to doing with Cindy in the years to come, I can’t wait to grow old together on our life journey.
Happy Birthday Cindy! I love you honey!
