Hello everyone, and welcome back to another edition of Disney In Pictures! First off, let me say Happy Mother’s Day to all of you out there today! I hope you have a wonderful day, and that includes you, Mom! :)
This week we are focusing on the Treasures of Epcot. I have enjoyed receiving your favorite photos that represent your treasures, so thank you for sending them to me! Let’s get going, and tell me what your favorite Epcot Treasure is after you see the post!
First up is my friend Catie, who is one of the writers for Chip & Company, but also has her own blog at Living in a Grown Up World. Like my friend Denny, Catie loves a certain character that you can find at Epcot:
This is my Epcot treasure -Duffy the Disney bear! I had been dying to meet him and when we arrived he wasn’t there but he came out to greet us after just a few minutes and I was so happy to get to hug him and take a picture with him!!
I love the story of Duffy and I of course have my own stuffed Duffy at home, so getting to meet him was a real “treasure” for me!!

Next up is my friend Roger and his wife Brenda, who have now returned from going Back To Disney! Roger had this to say:
Our favorite Epcot Treasure are the Voices of Liberty. They perform American patriotic and historic songs a Capella.
Enjoy them after the fife and drum show in The American Adventure, just before the performance of the show of the same name.
This view is from the balcony, when we were selected to be “The First Family,” who are escorted into the theater before anyone else.

My friend Shannan is one of the writers for Mouze Kateerz, and she and her family experienced their own Disney Magic one day:
One thing that happened to us on our last trip was, while taking our yearly photo in the GB phone booths, they started ringing! My daughter answered and talked to a sweet lady that was wishing her a magical day. I saved the numbers and call them from time to time to surprise another visitor.
Dulcie is one of the Pixie Vacations travel agents, and a writer for Chip & Company. Her daughter has a very special treasure from Epcot:
Here is my daughter Erinlee’s treasure from Epcot.
We went over to see Miyuki on her 5th birthday and this is what
she requested from Miyuki to be made.A pink teddy bear.
It has melted a little but he is still as cute as the day he was made just for her.We were so amazed standing around in the drizzling rain watching her work her magic
with the sugary sweet hard candy. She is only 1 of 15 people trained in this art and the only
woman trained in this candy sculpting art.Have Mouse Ears and Loves to Travel
My friend DJ is one of the members of the Magical Blogorail, and has an incredible travel blog called The World of Deej. When it comes to Epcot, DJ has a special take on some of the treasures you can find there, as you can see in his email:
My special place at Epcot is the Rose & Crown….why? Three words…Black and Tan:)
Lastly, my friend Amanda writes to us about her favorite spot in Epcot. Knowing Amanda like I do, I’m not really surprised by her picture. Read what she had to say:
My favorite spot in all of Epcot is not on a ride, or in a show, or touring foreign countries, but in a huge Disney merchandising store called Mouse Gears. They have the best t-shirts, the funny clock-work sounds are entertaining, and they have a bit of everything for everyone. I spent hours window shopping as a kid in Epcot, and my heart still belongs to the Epcot souvenir shops.

As for me, I have found several treasures at Epcot. There was the time that Sophie and Princess Jasmine were sharing a secret:
Then, last September 30th, we were fortunate to be able to spend the day before the 40th Anniversary over at Epcot, where we took in the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival for the first time! What a treasure that is!
But for me, I think the best treasure I have now, is a picture that happened the same day, September 30th, 2011, when we were over at the Germany Pavilion:
I think that this Snow White may be the one character that comes closest in my minds eye to the actual character in the movie, and what better angels to have anchoring her then my Princess Sophie and my niece Stephanie! Yesterday we were blessed to be able to help Stephanie celebrate graduating from college! She graduated a double-major in Psychology and Spanish, and to top it off, she graduated cum laude! Congratulations, Stephanie, we love you and are so proud of you!
If I hadn’t taken my Snow White picture with the girls, my favorite treasure might actually have been this picture, which represents the day that I met one of my favorite people, my good friend Brenda. I’ll leave you with a picture of Brenda and I that was taken inside the gift shop at Norway:
Thank you for stopping by today and sharing in our treasures of Epcot! I hope you have a wonderful day, and we’ll talk to you later!
This time, I would take my kids in Disney as my gift to them on Mother's day. For they always sending me gifts, now it's time for me to return them the gift.
