Welcome to another edition of our weekly series Disney In Pictures, the column that invites you to share your favorite pictures based on the theme of the week! This week’s theme is “Disney Laughs” and I’ve received a ton of submissions for this week! I had a great deal of fun looking over your photos, and I think you all will enjoy seeing them as well! So, without further ado, let’s take a look at your photos and read your stories. As always, thank you for submitting your pictures — this post wouldn’t be the same at all without your entries!
Our first entry comes from Lois, one of the My Dreams of Disney readers. She had this to say about her photo:
I wanted to send you this picture. It was our first day at Disney World, the Magic Kingdom. The kids were getting hungry, so we stopped to get some Mickey Ice Cream. There was a Photo Pass photographer right there in front of Cinderella Castle, so we asked him to take a picture of us in our Mickey Shirts with our Mickey ice cream. We had so much fun, who knew ice cream could be so fun? There were so many people walking by that loved my idea. Then we all had to take a bite at the same time (I don’t have that picture). This is my favorite picture from our trip in June, just because it wasn’t really posed or staged, it just happened to happen.
Next up is my friend Terri from WDW Hints and Chip & Company! She is sharing a picture of her daughter with Smee and Captain Hook! Here’s what she had to say:
Hi Mike! (I’m on-time for once… yay!) ;o)
Here’s a picture of my daughter meeting Captain Hook and Smee at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She was hesitant to meet them, at first.
But once they started tickling her, she was all giggles! Afterwards,
she said to me “They’re not scarey!”Thanks for letting me share!

Jenny is next, with some cute pictures of her children! Listen to her story and enjoy her photos:
The first 2 pictures are from our families first trip to WDW in June
2012. We were walking to the bus stops at Port Orleans Riverside when
my 2 year old passed gas really loud then looked around as if he
didn’t realize he did it. This is my 6 year old’s reaction. The next picture is of my mom and son on the teacups. My son was
acting scared of the mouse playing peek-a-boo out of the center
teapot. This was his scared faced as it popped out of the teapot.
Our next photograph is from Christy, who wanted to share a picture of her daughter’s enjoyment on the Mad Tea Party ride. Here is what she had to say:
Hi there,
I am sending a picture of my daughter (age 4) that I took on the Mad Tea Party. It was her first trip and it was just the 2 of us. She thought it was hysterical that Mommy couldn’t stand all the spinning as it makes me very ill! LOL. A little upset tummy was more than worth the giggles she couldn’t control!
Thanks!
Christy
Editor’s Note: My daughter loves this ride! Look at this photo from 2006 for one of my favorite expressions of pure joy on my daughter’s face!
Our next contributor is Angelique, who shared with us a story about all the lengths that Dad’s will go to for their family and their Disney vacations! Here is what she had to say:
Here’s a funny one…the story goes…it was a LONG day at the parks, and we went to Maya Grill for dinner. Well, we got on a bus to Epcot afterwards, but found they were closing…went to a water park drop off that was also closing, but thankfully a bus came to take us to Downtown Disney which then took us back to our home resort! My husband was NOT a happy camper. But even after all that when we looked over exhausted and frazzled and saw him with that grimace on his face, Mickey ears prominently sticking out up over his head NONE of us could keep a straight face! Great picture taken of my husband on the bus on our way back to All Star Movies.
Courtney is next tonight! She is one of the brand new writers for Chip & Company, and she has some terrific photos to share. Here they are!

Shannan from Addicted to Mickey is next. She has this to say about her photo:
I think it’s funny, hubby taking a picture of himself in his Star Tours glasses
New Chip & Company writer Dana is next. She wanted to share a photo of her son with Tigger. Here is what she had to say:
This was my son on his way back to our table after dancing with Tigger! He was over the moon :)

Maria is next in our list! She wanted to share a photo of her son over on Castaway Cay. Here is what she had to say:
My son got crazy at Castaway Cay, acting like he’s Hector Barbossa scaring Jack Sparrow away.
On the other hand…Jack Sparrow played along with him and ran away :)
This photo is special for me because this is our first time we cruise.
Next up is Dulcie, one of the writers for Chip & Company and a Pixie Vacations Travel Agent! She is sharing a picture of her daughter, but I’m going to let her set the stage:
Hey Mike
Thanks for the reminder!! WHEW I almost forgot…..I look forward to this weekly and it makes me go back and look at our memories all over again on a weekly basis :)I just want to start off by saying this has to be one of the funniest pictures I have of our daughter at Disney.
It was her 5th birthday and we had been to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to celebrate. Her FAVORITE show of all times is Dream Along with Mickey. We have to see it at least 2 times a trip or once to twice a day when we are in the MK.
We had just sat down for some ice cream at the Plaza Ice Cream Parlor and the music started up for Dream Along with Mickey. We purchased the event music CD 2 years before and she had memorized every song and every line on it.
This was the face I captured when the music came on.
We had to grab up the ice cream and head to the castle to watch all of Mickey and his friends Dreams Come True!Dulcie Hayes
Next up is Michelle, who wanted to share a great set of pictures of her ride on Dinosaur! Here is what she had to say:
My Name is Michelle
I was on Dinosaur a few years ago and just went along with the story… acted like it was real… got a wonderful picture that everyone laughs at… of genuine fear!!!
Here is the picture in full….
Here is my close-up….
Christine from Pirates and Pixie Dust Vacations is next. She wanted to share a photo of her son, who’s favorite ride is the Jungle Cruise. Here is what she had to say:
This is a picture of my son Michael. He was 4 at the time the picture was taken in November 2010. He LOVES the Jungle Cruise. It’s his favorite! This was when the elephants were squirting water, he was HYSTERICAL laughing at the thought of the elephant squirting him.
This picture is so special to me because, you would never know it by looking directly at him, but Michael is a brain cancer patient. He’s been battling unidentifiable tumors since he was 2 1/2. He’s been on chemotherapy for 33 out of the past 38 months. This trip was during a break from chemotherapy protocols and we made the most of every moment! Every mom loves to see their child so happy… but this Disney moment, it will be one of my favorite happy memories until the day I die.

Christine, thank you for sharing your photo of Michael! I will add him and all your family to my prayer lists! I’ll pray healing prayers for him, and prayers of strength and comfort for you, but most of all, I’ll pray for many more years of wonderful memories with expressions of joy like we have here! God Bless all of you!
Amanda and her sister Frances from Mouze Kateerz are next! Amanda sent in this photo from their girls only trip. Here is what she had to say:
Hi Mike!
This picture is special to me because it was a girls weekend away for just my sister and I. We got to see Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Thus the bobbly things on our heads :)
Next up is Roger from Back To Disney and Mouze Kateerz. Roger was chosen to play in the street play over in the United Kingdom one year, here is what he had to say about that:
I was walking along Epcot, and saw a performance troupe.
Having once been a troupe member, I thought it would be fun to catch their show.
The lady suggested “dad” sit down, then promptly chose me to play the starring role in “Romeo & Edna.”

I’m not saying it was a hilarious performance, but I do know my family considered it quite amusing.

Next up is my friend Amanda! She wanted to share some of the pictures that she has come across that just strike her as funny! Here is what she has to say:
Laughs-
Kicking your child out of their stroller so you can transport all your Disney merchandise is just funny.
Blocking people’s faces on Splash Mountain is funny.

Amanda to Carl: “Carl, did you use deodorant this morning?” |
Next up is Deb from Focused on the Magic. She wanted to share her photo of her son, who learned how to fly:
“Look Mom! ♫♪ I can fly, I can fly, I can fly ♫♪”
Our last photo tonight is from Meghan, who wanted to share her picture of her husband and 21 month old, working to pull the Sword out of the Stone:
This is my husband trying to lift the sword with one finger and my daughter, who was 21 months at the time, apparently felt he needed help…
