About Mike Ellis

Mike has been a Disney fan since his first trip to the Magic Kingdom in 1979 when he was 11 years old. Since that first trip, he has seen parks open, lands close, and attractions come and go, but one thing remains the same, his love for Disney is as strong as ever.

His Disney adventures caused him to start My Dreams of Disney because he wanted to document for his family and friends all of the special Disney Memories he has enjoyed with his family, and since that first post in 2010, Mike's hobby has become his passion!

Now a Travel Consultant with Pixie Vacations for over nine years, Mike has helped many of his readers plan and have incredible Disney vacations of their own. Check us out on Facebook and Twitter. 1. Sheila Fretz – Los Angeles, California – My name is Sheila and I am the founder of Cooking Underwriter. I am an Underwriter by day with a passion for Gluten Free Cooking and Baking. Who happens to love Disneyland Resorts and Walt Disney World for many reasons, The Gluten Free Food Options, The Rides, The Restaurants in addition to the fun that is had by all when visiting. I visit Disneyland an average of two to three times a month and have been to many celebrations there over the years. Including Weddings, Birthday Parties and I also attended the 25th Anniversary Homecoming Party. I currently reside in Los Angeles, California with my husband and daughter. I live about an hour or so from Disneyland. My love of Disney first took hold, when I was a child and my Mom would take us to Disneyland 3 or four times every summer. My family really went to Disneyland in the Spring and Summer but that was always okay. After my husband and I were married and our daughter was born we joined and became annual pass holders and have been visiting frequently over the last 13 years. I also love visiting Walt Disney World which I believe is also full of magic wonderful memories. I haven’t visited Walt Disney World as many times as I have Disneyland but I always have fun when I go.

The best place in California Adventure to get a #glutenfree meal. The chef’s are amazing and always available to talk to you about your food allergies.

  2. dadfordisney – Upstate NY – Hello and welcome to the Dad For Disney Blog. I'm Tim Brooks and I live in upstate NY with my wife of 19 years and our fourteen-year old daughter. I spent the early part of my career out of college working in sports information at the University of Delaware and then Allentown College. After leaving Allentown College, I did some freelance work and then taught sports management at Lehigh-Carbon Community College and then The College of St. Rose when we moved to upstate NY for my wife’s career. After my wife gave birth to our daughter, I decide to stay home with her and put my career on hold. Now, that she is ten years old, I volunteer at her school while keeping the house in order and writing my WDW planning guide tentatively named "Walt Disney World for Tweens and Teens". Dad For Disney and the Dad For Disney Blog is in no way part of, endorsed or authorized by, or affiliated with the Walt Disney Company or its affiliates.

One of the best spots to get a quick service meal in either Disneyland or Walt Disney World. Had a great meal here in August.

We haven’t eaten at this spot yet but it looks like a great place to share a meal…those are some big plates!

  4. masseys5 – Dreams of travel fill our minds. Admitted Disney addicts, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, and Disneyland make up a large amount of our travels. We have also toured much of the U.S. and some of Europe. Follow our adventures at http://www.familytravelescapades.com/ .

Mike I loved FLo’s Cafe when we visited Disneyland. In fact when I saw you had chosen this I thought, wow this is almost as good and better than The Jolly Holiday Cafe. We ate there several times and I agree the atmosphere is really great and the food I ate was always good. Thanks for the review!

We love everything in Cars Land- and Flo’s V8 is one of our favorite pit stops. Though we have sampled many of the lunch and diner offerings, Flo’s breakfast menu is what really starts our engines! We always order the kid’s waffles; eating the likeness of Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater is only second to a Mickey waffle. And NOTHING in Disney’s California Adventure beats the magic of sipping a Flo’s Classic Shake while leaning on that V8 sign awaiting the nightly Route 66 neon light show. Nada!!

I loved going here first thing in the morning. Grabbed myself a french toast and a seat right up against Radiator Springs Racers. It was a perfect start to the day.
