Welcome to this month’s Blogorail Teal loop. Today we are sharing the best frozen treats you can find at Disney.
M I C K E Y B A R S
Everyone knows about this classic/iconic Disney treat! And I doubt there are too many theme park guests who haven’t had at least one.
Is it tasty? Yes. Is it good for you? Sure, why not. Is it addictive? Yes. Should you buy a box of them and smuggle them back to your home State or country? Sure, why not.
Ah, that first bite! It’s like a Disney rite of passage. But do you bite into the left ear or right ear first? Scientists have spent millions conducting an exhaustive study on that conundrum but as yet have only determined that biting into too many Mickey Bar ears causes stomach aches. Money well spent people!
Fun Facts: There are some things you may not know about this funny-shaped treat.
- It’s gluten-free!
- You can find it off-property (at the Vero Beach and Hilton Head resorts, for example)
And we end this loop just as we should all end each and every one of our Disney vacations: With a Mickey Bar!

This is my kids all time favorite frozen treat. I wish they would start making them with chocolate ice cream since I’m not a big fan of vanilla. When we made them at home I used chocolate and it was perfect (well to me at least).
Chocolate with chocolate? You may be onto something there! Lol
Love this one, it’s so iconic! One of my favorite pictures from a trip we took with my parents is my husband and my dad both enjoying a Mickey bar :)
Did they each bite an ear off the same bar? Lol
You’ve closed us out with my wife Cindy’s all time favorite Disney snack. The Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar is her A#1 go to treat, but she doesn’t indulge too much — usually only one or two on a trip. Thanks for a great post, and such exhaustive research! It’s what makes your blog my go to source on the internet! :)
I pride myself on having the most confirmed gibberish available anywhere! And I’ll give a Mickey Bar to anyone who can refute it! Lol
I have to admit I avoid these because I always end up making a mess everywhere. But I recently learned a hack that I am in for. On the Disney Cruise ships you can order cookies and a mickey bar to the room and then make your own ice cream sandwich!!! No reason why I can’t do that in the parks too.
Sounds good to me. Great tip!
So, I have to confess, this treat didn’t thrill me all that much. I guess it’s because they can be messy on a hot summer day and because you can get a similar item in the grocery store. But, I have a feeling that my son will be wanting one every day on our Disney Cruise this December
Nothing better than a nice, cold Mickey bar on a hot day! Thankfully I live near the Hilton Head DVC resort and can pop over quicker than getting to one of the Disney parks.
