Luigi’s Flying Tires is day 95 on our Countdown til Disneyland! Located, of course, in Cars Land, that incredible new area in Disney’s California Adventure, Luigi’s is a “bumper cars” type ride where you ride on a cushion of air! When Luigi’s first opened up, there were beach balls that you could bounce around as you were riding along in your tire, but those have been removed now. I haven’t heard an official reason that I remember, but I believe it is because of someone getting hurt by one of the beach balls.
With Luigi’s Flying Tires, the way I understand it is that you direct the turn of your vehicle by how you shift your body. If you lean left, I believe you will turn left, and so forth. I don’t know how many times we will want to ride this, but I’m betting that it will be at least once!
Have you ridden Luigi’s Flying Tires yet? If so, what did you think of it? Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by!

You should definitely do this at least once if nothing else, then for the novelty of it! It’s not SUPER exciting and it’s more fun with a partner (I went on a solo trip), but it’s a cool feeling. When I went, I went to DCA for EMH – headed straight to RSR, was about the 20th person in line. Got off and headed straight to LFT. I had completed both within 30 minutes of Carsland opening. That’s your best bet in my opinion, if you can move that quickly (i.e. no strollers, etc.)
update: by got off I mean, I rode RSR and then got off. I didn’t step out of the line lol :)
