Character Close-Up, when I first heard about it, sounded like a way to get up close and personal with the characters. Then I learned more about it, and learned that what it actually is an interesting exhibit full of original artwork, fascinating 3-D models, and other details that describes how the artists came up with final versions of the characters that we know and love.
The Character Close-Up is located in Hollywood Land at Disney’s California Adventure Park, in the same building that houses the Animation Academy. If you remember, that building is Disney Animation building, and houses the following attractions:
- The Animation Courtyard
- Animation Academy
- Character Close-Up
- Sorcerer’s Workshop
- Turtle Talk with Crush
It sounds to me that this will be a very interesting building to just take our time in and explore all of these interesting facets of Disney Animation! What are your thoughts about the Character Close-Up and all of the other parts of the Disney Animation building? Please let us know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by!
