Hello everyone, and welcome to #Day57 of our #DisneyWorldCountdown! Today we are going to take a look at the restaurant for one of our Dining Reservations – the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, located at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This is a first for us, we have never eaten here before, but I’ve heard some good things about it, so we’re going to give it a shot. The restaurant is basically themed after an old fashioned Drive In Movie Theater, with “outdoor” screens and old ’57 Chevy’s for you to sit in.
The menu consists of a wide variety of things, including burgers, pastas, and ribs, and — from what I understand — incredible milkshakes! Here is a link to the menu for you to peruse.
I’ve been told that we need to request a vehicle for our table, because they do have a few tables that are not cars, so that’s what we are going to do. As you can see from these photos, it really is like going to an old fashioned drive in — even if it is indoors!
Have you ever eaten at the Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater? What did you think of it? I don’t have a whole lot to go on here, but I think I’m going to really enjoy it. When I was a kid, my grandparents, who lived near Tampa, Florida, took me to a restaurant that was themed like an old fashioned wild west type town, with different storefronts that had different functions. That was a lot of fun for me, and I’m kind of hoping that this will be a similar experience to that.
Still, I won’t know until we get there, so I hope you will fill in some of the cracks for me and tell me what you think of the restaurant. Thanks everyone, and go out and make it a great Disney Day!
