The Tomorrowland Speedway is a Magic Kingdom original attraction, although back then, it was known as the Grand Prix Raceway. This has always been a child favorite because it gives youngsters the idea of what it is like to pretend that they are driving a real car — and as everyone knows, Walt Disney World is all about imagination! Personally, I don’t think that the Speedway is all that good anymore. The smell of the gasoline engines, in particular, is something I don’t like, and it is just too slow…but then again, I’m not a kid anymore, and to a kid, being able to drive a car and pretend you are in a race, well, that’s all there is to it.

You can get good vantage points of the track from several spots on the TTA; here you see the starting/loading and unloading area of the track.

Evidently, even 20 year old girls are kids at heart, and like to show off for the camera, as my niece Stephanie did back in 2010…don’t try this at home, kids!
