As we continue our 30 things to do at Disney World series, today we’re taking a look at one of Sophie’s absolute favorite rides — the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror! The first time we rode this attraction was in 2008, and when we were in line, we ran into two people that have become great friends — Newlyweds Bryanne and Tyler, who hail from Edmonton, Alberta! They were in line in front of us, and Sophie went up to them and told them congratulations for their marriage, and they wished Sophie a happy birthday! In the course of talking with them, I snapped this photo for them, and we became friends.
But when it comes to the ride itself, this one is definitely not my favorite! It all started with the first drop — when I was going down, but my camera was levitating up around my head! Then it happened again, and again, and again, and I thought for sure I was going to get sick!
As for Cindy and Sophie, though, they loved it, and subsequently rode it two more times in a row while I got my stomach back where it belonged!
So, the Tower of Terror is one of Cindy and Sophie’s 30 things to do, but as for me, I prefer to just take pictures instead!

Lol! The good news is the wait for your party is not long and there is so much to look at, take photos of, and explore.
Oh my gosh – love it! I can see where someone could lose it a little on this ride, but (while I can handle it) that's what I love about it. Because of our two small children, I have been riding it alone the last couple years. While it is enjoyable to watch other first-time riders experience it, I'm looking forward to the day where I get to ride again with my wife.
I only rode it because an old lady was in front of me in line. I thought if she can do it, so can I. It was nice til you got dropped! LOL I will never do it again.
LOVE IT!!! I must say that it took me long enough to get my courage up to go on that attraction (afraid of heights). I had visited WDW 6 times before I finally put my “big girl panties” on and sucked it up. Boy, I wish I would’ve gone on that the year of my first visit in 2000…so many wasted opportunities – it’s one of my absolute favorites!
