Today’s Prayers for the week post is open ended — I’ve been away from home all week, and we are traveling home today, so I’m leaving it with you.  Do you have any prayer requests and praises?  I only have a couple, but they are big, so if you can pray for these I would greatly appreciate it.  Also, please add your prayer requests to ours — we will pray for you as you pray for us, and in doing so, God will look after all of His Children.

Prayer Requests and Praises…

  • Starting us off, I’d like to lift up my niece Stephanie in prayer.  She has undergone serious surgery, and the recovery is slow, and the news out of her most recent appointment wasn’t as good as it could have been.  Please pray for her continued healing, for God’s Peace to descend upon her and all her family, for Strength to continue on, and for comfort from the discomfort of the procedures.  Also, please pray for her husband Shane and all of her family at this time.
  • Please pray for safe travels for us today on the roads of America.  We have a long ways to go, so pray for us.  It is greatly appreciated.
  • Please pray for all of the unknown prayer requests, those that we don’t know, or don’t know all the details of, that God would hear those anonymous prayers and keep them close to Him.

Now, please pray the prayer that Jesus taught us to pray:

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done,
On Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.

Lead us not into Temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory,
Forever and ever. Amen.
