Not buying what the Genie is selling!

Hello everyone, and welcome to this week’s Wordless Wednesday post.  As you all know, the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop is hosted by my good friend Deb from Focused on the Magic, and this week, the theme is “Disney Letter N”.  As a result, I’ve decided to go with all nighttime shots — except for our first one.  In the picture of Sophie with Princess Jasmine and the Genie, the Genie was trying so hard to get her attention! As you can see, though, Sophie wasn’t having any of it!

Thanks for coming over today, enjoy the pictures!

  1. I am bound and determined to take more nighttime shots on our next trip. I realize I have very few! Great shots this week, Mike.

    • Thanks, Lori! In the picture in this post, I think it was more dumb luck than anything. One thing you may find, though, is that when the brightness of the fireworks — such as in this shot — or the brightness of the Castle, etc — is higher, you will get a better shot because the shutter doesn’t have to stay open as long. If the color of the fireworks is darker, such as a blue firework, for example, there isn’t as much light, so it takes longer for the camera to get the light it needs for the shot, so they will inevitably be more blurry.

      Good luck, and thanks!

    • Mary, that shot was taken way back in 2007 at Animal Kingdom. Back then they had extra magic hours in the evening, and we decided to check it out, and over at DinoLand, U.S.A. there was a nighttime block party. It was a lot of fun, and they had Chip & Dale, Goofy, and just a lot of dancing — kind of like Club 626, but Animal Kingdom style.

      Thanks!

    • KJ, I can’t say that I’ve ever been night swimming there, but I did get what I think is a good picture! Thanks for stopping by and commenting today!
