Wordless Wednesday – April Calendar Shot

Liberty Square Bridge

The Bridge over to Liberty Square

A few simple pictures from our last trip to Walt Disney World that I’m sharing for the Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop.  While that was not in April, I think any of these pictures can serve as a great calendar shot for April.

78 Days til Disneyland – Goofy’s Playhouse!

Goofy’s Playhouse is one of those attractions that looks like it is really more for the younger audience, rather then for the Mom and Dad and 12 year old, but looks can be deceiving!  Goofy’s Playhouse is our choice for Day 78 in our Disneyland countdown, and while it certainly isn’t something that we will likely look at more then once, it is part of Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland, and as such, is one of the things that makes Toontown what it is, full of interesting tidbits and nice little surprises.

We will take a look at the attraction, enjoy it, reflect on it as we decide how much it reminds us of Mickey’s House and Minnie’s House, and also how much it reminds us of Toontown Fair that used to live in the Magic Kingdom.

In the end, perhaps this is what really is significant about Goofy’s Playhouse and Toontown in general — it reminds us of past trips to the Magic Kingdom, and reminds us, even if it’s just for a short while, of what it was we had with Toontown Fair, and what we now miss.

So tell me, if you please, what do you think of Goofy’s Playhouse?  Do you have youngsters that can’t get enough of stepping into Goofy’s house for themselves?  Or, are you like us, and take a look at the Playhouse for the novelty of it, but can certainly bypass it after that?  Please let me know in the comments, and thanks for stopping by!
