My 30 Things to do at Walt Disney World – How did I do?

You may remember that before our trip to Walt Disney World this past June, I did a small series entitled the 30 things I must do at Disney World.  Well, with work being work, I had to shelve this post for a while, but one thing I wanted to do was sort of a postmortem about the attractions, rides, and shows that I selected for my series, and let you know which ones we did, which we didn’t, and see what you thought of the list to begin with.  So here goes!

I started out with this list of 30 things to do:

Now, with this extensive list, I’m betting that some of you will think that I didn’t experience all of these things — and you would be right!  Some of them were decided by my wife, and some by my daughter, so personally, I didn’t eat a Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, and I didn’t ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror.  However, out of the thirty things on this list, I did experience 22 of them.  As I look at that, I’m kind of surprised by the list of things that I didn’t experience:

  • Kilimanjaro Safari — not sure what happened there, I think it was poor planning on my part coupled with a late start.  Several members of our group did experience the attraction, though!  Does that count? :)
  • Festival of the Lion King
  • Finding Nemo: The Musical — for both this and Lion King I was more focused on experiencing Kali River Rapids and Expedition Everest, so they took priority.
  • Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
  • Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
  • Eat a Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar — although I did enjoy some incredible desserts!
  • Explore New Fantasyland — This one was one that I didn’t get to, and I wish I had.  Still, my friend Denny did capture several incredible photos that I turned into this blog post, so that’s the next best thing I think!
  • Liberty Belle — Every year Cindy and I tell each other that we are going to ride this, but so far we still haven’t made it there.  Next year is our year! :)

So, in the end, I hit 73% of the things on this list.  Not bad I don’t think, and there are a lot of things that we did do that weren’t part of that list, but what do you think?  Why don’t you send me some great comments and let me know your thoughts?  Was it a good job?  Could have done better?  Who cares?  Why did you have this on the list at all?  Any and all thoughts are wanted.  Thanks!
