Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of Disney In Pictures, the weekly blog post that invites you to join in the fun! Each week I invite you to send me your pictures of your favorite Disney moments, and we have a loose theme associated with each one. This week, I thought it would be good to open it up to our kids a bit, and get their input as to what their favorite attractions are! I based it on ages eight and under, but by no means does that mean you have to be that age to participate! Also, if you don’t have kids, don’t worry — if you act like a kid when you go to Disney, you can still participate! It’s not too late to get your pictures submitted, I’ve had some great response, but there’s still time to send your pictures in! To do so, follow these simple steps:
On June 13th, our large party of nine was in for quite the Disney Magic Day (DMD) — if I say so for myself!
On that day, our three Princesses, Sophie, Madelyne-Lois, and River, were scheduled to get their hair, makeup, and nails done at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique at Cinderella Castle!
I don’t know who was more excited — the three Princesses, or the Queen Mums that were doting on them while their daughters were being dolled up! While the girls did that, Neal, Izaiah and myself went for a ride on the Walt Disney World Railroad! Izaiah, when he first arrived at Disney, thought everything was a train, including the buses and the monorail! However, by Wednesday, Izaiah was a sophisticated youngster — who knew that the only real train was the WDW Railroad! :)
After a complete loop around the Magic Kingdom, we received word that the girls were done, so we headed off to see all the Pixie Dust that was sprinkled on our girls! Check out the final results!
Not only were the girls having a grand time at the BBB, but we also were having dinner at Cinderella’s Royal Table that night! I was a little bummed because our dinner wasn’t until 8:40PM that night, which is rather late for dinner. But with three children who had never been to Walt Disney World before, it was a given that we were going to eat at the Castle if we could, so I took the reservation gladly!
Since there were so many of us, we received three different photo packages, and the picture at the top is one of those photos. Dinner was absolutely incredible! Cindy had the stuffed chicken breast with leeks, artichokes, and sun-dried tomatoes. I had a seafood pasta dish that was absolutely incredible, and finished it off with an almond cheesecake that was the creamiest cheesecake I ever ate! Cindy had the Chef’s Dessert Trio. So, being greeted by Cinderella was incredible. The food was incredible. Having Belle, Snow White, Ariel, and Princess Aurora come to our table was really great. But the Pièce de résistance was what happened after we were finishing our dinner. First, though, a little background information.
Earlier in the day, Kerry, River’s mom, had told me that they wanted to know if there was a place where they could still see the fireworks, but be inside to avoid most of the noise of the fireworks. I told her at the time that I didn’t think there was such a place. It was then that Walt looked down on our party and said “Watch this, I’m going to make that happen!”
As we were enjoying our desserts, all of a sudden the lights dimmed a little bit, and the announcer came on the intercom system, and announced that Wishes would be starting in five minutes! Everyone in the dining hall got really excited, because I don’t think any of us realized that we were going to be in the Castle when Wishes went off!
It was incredible — the show music was played in the dining hall, and all of us looked out the windows from our tables to be able to watch the fireworks go off. It was Disney Magic in it’s finest hour for me, and I will never, ever forget that special day!
I didn’t take many pictures during the show, I was so caught up in the moment, but the memory is one that I’ll never forget!
What is your favorite example of Disney Magic? Why don’t you share it in the comments, or on the Facebook page, or even by submitting a photo for this week’s Disney In Pictures segment?
Welcome to another Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop post! Special thanks as always to my friend Deb from Focused on the Magic who sponsors this hop each and every week. Since today’s theme is the letter “B”, I thought the best picture I could post was of the boys — Brothers Kyle and Shane — sporting R2D2 Mickey Ears! Enjoy!

Welcome back to another edition of Disney In Pictures! After a two week hiatus because of our trip to Disney World, we are back! In this week’s edition, we are taking a look at shots of our favorite photos of Disney Characters that have been in a movie. The spectrum is wide open for this topic, so sit back and enjoy the photography that readers of My Dreams of Disney have submitted!
In our first photo, one of my good friends, Chip from Chip & Company, shared one of his family photos with us! Here is what Chip had to say:
Zoe (my oldest) was so excited to meet Lilo & Stitch Disney Movie: Lilo & Stitch Blog: Chip and Company
Next up is my friend Denny, one of the regulars here at Disney In Pictures, and one of the many creative folks helping out at Mouze Kateerz! Today Denny wanted to share one of my favorite characters, but I’ll let him tell you all about it:
I think I love Woody because of the way he treats his friends. The song “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” certainly fits him perfectly. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do for a friend in a jam. I’m looking forward to seeing him back on the screen before too long! Plus…he always waves back when I wave at him! Grins! Denny
Teri from Mouze Kateerz is next up for us this week! Teri’s favorite character is, of course, Mickey, as she explains here:
Mickey is my favorite Disney character – this is me and my cousin Diane – we were both celebrating “big” birthdays this trip – my 60th and her……… anyway….. Mickey came over to our table to wish us a Happy Birthday!!! Mickey is the star of the show!!!!!!!
Have a magical day!!! Teri
Of course, Mickey hasn’t been in any movies in a while, but he did have a roll in Fantasia and other movies early on in his career!
My friend Hiromi is up next. She is a writer for both Mouze Kateerz and Tips from the Disney Diva, and she wanted to share a photo from home because this character is so rare that she often can’t find him in the parks. Here is what she had to say:
“You’re my very best friend” “And you’re mine too, Todd!” “And we’ll always be friends forever, won’t we?” “Ya, forever!”
As a child, my favourite Disney characters were “Todd” and “Copper” from Disney’s “The Fox and the Hound”. It was first released in theatres on July 10, 1981. I have such a sentimental attachment to this film, reminiscing watching it with my mother and sister. My sister and I would recite lines from the film, especially from the famous hide and go seek scene. It is a very moving story about prejudice and the innocence of early friendships which can be marred by social pressures. However, true friendship overcomes these barriers in the end. A deeply moral story, which will truly touch your heart for a lifetime. Here is a photo of my daugther’s “Copper” doll.
Have you seen this guy at Walt Disney World? If so, where can you find him?
Next up is Lisa, who also writes for Mouze Kateerz. She is a fan of the Winnie the Pooh characters, but I’ll let her tell you all about it:
This is my Mom and I with Eeyore and Tigger from the Winnie the Pooh movie. They are special to us as they are our 2 favorite characters. My parents started reading me the books when I was a baby so they have always held a special place in our hearts.
In a twist here at MDOD, my friend Lucinda has a video that we are sharing in this post. She took a bunch of her favorite character interactions and put it to music, so if you want to see it, click on play! To round out this week’s photos, I thought I would share some of my favorite photos of characters with Sophie and Stephanie. I hope you enjoy!

Coming into our Disney World vacation, I had a secret that I needed to keep — one that was life-altering for two very special people in my life. My future Nephew-in-Law, Shane, told me that he was planning on proposing to my niece Stephanie while we were at Disney World. On Sunday evening — actually, Monday morning — at 1AM, near the end of Extra Magic Hours, Shane asked that question that many Princesses dream they will get asked, when he said “Stephanie, will you marry me?” Amongst tears, laughter, hugs, applause, and so much more, Stephanie said yes!
The Proof of her answer!
This very special post would not have happened tonight without the explicit permission of Stephanie and Shane, so I guess you could say that this post is a Steph and Shane exclusive! :)
