Welcome to those of you joining me from The Disney Point and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
Today I’m filling in on the Magical Blogorail Black line, and while I’ve never been to Disneyland Paris, I have heard a bit about it, and I have a definite idea of the one attraction that I’d bring back from there!
Actually, the attraction I’d bring back is already at Walt Disney World — and that attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean! However, there are some truly incredible aspects about the DLP version that I’ve just got to replicate over on this side of the pond!
From what I understand, the Blue Lagoon Restaurant is a Pirates themed restaurant that actually overlooks part of the attraction! I imagine it would be similar to eating at the San Angel Inn in the Mexico Pavilion and seeing the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring Three Caballeros boat ride pass by you.
Here’s a YouTube video I saw of the restaurant — tell me, what do you think of it?
So, what do you think? Should they introduce a restaurant that overlooks the ride at Walt Disney World, or should they leave a good thing alone? Part of me wants to see the restaurant there, although truth be told, the You Tube video didn’t really put the restaurant where I thought it would be from what I heard. It kind of reminds me of a cross between Gran Fiesta Tour, like I mentioned before, and the Living with the Land boat ride at Epcot.
What I thought it was going to be was guests eating their dinner and overlooking the actual scene where the town is. I think that would be really cool, but another part of me worries that the ride would be ruined because of people taking pictures while they are eating. As you can tell by my back and forth writing, I’m on the fence on this, so I’m leaving it up to you. Tell me please — should Walt Disney World add a restaurant overlooking the Pirates of the Caribbean ride? Or, should they leave it well enough alone? Or, am I way off on how the restaurant is positioned at DLP? Maybe my friends from across the border can help out with that.
